FOXFIRE by Margaret Carter
Tabitha lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Her living away from civilization is an attempt to distance herself from other people and their emotions which Tabitha can sense almost like a physical blow.
Kenji is half kitsune. He can shapeshift into the form of a fox. Unfortunately he never learned how to control the change and strong emotions, such as anger, and sex make it harder to keep from shifting.
After fighting with her parents over her boyfriend, Chloe runs to Tabitha's house to hide out for a while. When Tabitha refuses to allow her to meet her boyfriend in her home, Chloe sneaks out but never arrives at the meeting place. Scared for her sister, Tabitha decides to ask Kenji for help. Only when she knocked on his door, he appeared not to be home. She senses an animal nearby and watches a large fox head for the back porch and disappear, then suddenly she can sense, Kenji inside the house.
FOXFIRE is a fascinating tale of two beings that have been forced into self-imposed isolation because of the uniqueness of their abilities.
SURVIVOR by Liddy Midnight
Doug is a pilot in the Screaming Dragons unit. After an accident, he's transported to a world with dragons and a woman he's seen many times in his very erotic dreams.
Harna's dreams of her Chosen have vaulted her into an esteemed position amongst her people instead of a lowly field worker. The arrival of her Chosen will cement her position as leader.
Doug believes he was going to die in the accident that has killed his friends, instead he closes his eyes and when he opens them as he descends toward Earth, the surroundings look different - like that of his dream world. It isn't until he looks at himself and his spread wings that he realizes that he's a stealth dragon. If this is all just a dream then where's his hot babe? Catching sight of another dragon being attacked by little winged things, Doug experiences battle lust and races in for the rescue, toasting the little creatures. Having saved the other dragon, Doug hears his woman's voice in his head, she's the dragon he just saved. How cool is that?
SURVIVOR is an awesome story that combines our fascination with dragons, military men, and an alternate universe. Liddy Midnight does an awesome job making this story thrilling and fun while delighting the reader with Doug's masculine thinking and cockiness.
TAKING SHAPE by Tielle St. Clare
Nicholas Conner is an investigator. He comes from a family of shapeshifters and he has the unique ability to shift into anything or anybody he touches. It's a tool he'll find useful when investigating Tally Hayward.
Tally Hayward works for AirPress. She's aware that there's something wrong with the figures on a project she's working on. She's not aware that the president and CEO of the company has hired a PI firm to investigate her to pin the discrepancy on her.
Nick obtained all the information he needed regarding Tally. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary but something about work was obviously bothering her. Nick knows her boyfriend would be leaving on a business trip so he shifts into Richard's form in order to get her away from the office. Tally was going to break up with Richard but his business trip saved her from that worry for now. Suddenly, he's standing in her office and while it appears to be her boyfriend, something about him isn't right. Confusing her even more is this internal sexual being he's radiating, not the normal boring man she's used to him being. This is a man she actually desires.
Tielle St. Clare's TAKING SHAPE is great fun. You can easily imagine Nick changing into a variety of people and objects trying to get the opportunity to examine Tally's home for evidence but getting thwarted by his attraction to her every time. Tally's innocence and confusion of both the crime happening at work and her attraction to Nick is sweet and touching, but she's a force to be reckoned with once she finds out what's really going on.
TRANSFORMATIONS combines the writing talents of three amazing authors into one anthology. Each story goes beyond the basic shapeshifter and contains some special added touch that draws the reader into the stories and leaves you with a smile long after you've finished reading. Every one of the characters is memorable, lovable, and truly a pleasure to know, even if it's only in the pages of a book.

FOXFIRE by Margaret L. Carter:
A man and woman who shun human contact discover that they are meant for each other when Tabitha turns to her mountaintop neighbor Kenji for help in finding her runaway sister.
Tabitha hides away from the world to escape the pain of other people's emotions invading her mind. Kenji lives alone in a mountain cabin because he fears his untamed shape-shifting power. He is half Kitsune - part man and part fox.
Only by sharing the secrets of their wild talents can these two lonely people unite and become whole.
SURVIVOR by Liddy Midnight:
After a horrific training accident with his fighter squadron, pilot Doug is transported to a world he's seen in powerful sexual dreams featuring a mahogany-skinned beauty with silver hair. It can't be real - people there become dragons at will. To his shock, he discovers he can transform as well.
Harna, the woman of his dreams, makes him welcome. The sex is mind-blowing but too much about this world defies logic. This must be another dream. Doug only knows he's falling in love and if he's right, he'll have to leave Harna behind when he wakes up.
TAKING SHAPE by Tielle St Clare:
As a shapeshifter, Nick Conner can turn into anything or anyone he touches. Along with his brothers and sister, he uses this unique gift for private investigations. But something about their newest case doesn't sit right. Their client isn't being honest and their target, Tally, seems way too sweet to be a crook.
Or maybe it's that Nick wants her to be innocent.
But now he has an even bigger challenge on his hands. He's made love to Tally in another man's form-how can he convince her to love the man he truly is?
