This soundwave figure is the best.It is based off the video game War for Cybertron which by the way is out of this world awesome as well.Soundwave has the G1 appearence with a bit more of an edge to it.He still has the classic shoulder cannon with the tape deck appearence on the chest,which you can flip down to use as a weapon storage.The extra cool thing is Soundwave actually comes with an extra blaster as well and his vechicle mode is like a futuristic armored tank mode.Lets just say he packs a little more of a punch in this deluxe version.The transformation is intermediate,meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers it isn't that difficult.If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or below it could be a little tricky so you might have to help them a little.The durability of Soundwave is oustanding as well is the poseability for acting out battle scenes or what have you.Overall Soundwave is a high quality,well made,10 out of 10 figure that is a must have for any fan.I highly recommend the Cybertronian Soundwave figure to all transformer fans out there.Transformers Rule!!!!!!!!!!

An excellent toy. Arrived without any incidents, very promptly as well. Almost perfectly adheres to the WFC design to the "t." No additional pieces sticking off like the hood on Optimus or Bumblebee. Amazingly well integrated design makes both vehicle mode and robot mode look amazing. Didn't think of it at first, but the additional blaster is a clever nod to the original '84 toy's blaster, very nice.

On top of it all, he stands just fine on his own. Buy it. It's great.

I used to be a big Transformers fan as a kid so I was enthusiastic to get this version of Soundwave for my child. Back when I was little and watched Transformers on TV, I always lamented that the Hasbro toy version of robot almost never was a good likeness of the cartoon. The G1 Soundwave was about as good as it got, and I really liked that toy. This Soundwave toy is awesome! Not only does the car mode look authentic but the robot mode is pretty much spot-on to the "War for Cybertron" version. Hasbro did a great job engineering this thing. The transformation is pretty complex, even for an adult! That's cool because the robot and car modes look so different from each other BUT children may find it difficult (at least at first) to figure out how to switch between modes. Also, because you do have to twist and turn Soundwave so much to transform him, it makes me worry that his joints will not last. Hopefully, they will. We'll have to enjoy it will it lasts!
