First of all let's just clear something up about all these negative reviews: as for popping off parts, in the instructions it SAYS that parts are made to pop off during transformation so that if YOU the user was forcing it too much, it will pop off (and can be easily popped back on) instead of snapping and breaking off (like if you were to force an older gen Transformers figure). Its a feature to save kids from breaking their brand new favorite Bumblebee people. Try reading the instructions.

Admitedly, yes, several of the new movie Transformers have some of the most insane Transformations I have ever seen in a Transformer. I think its impressive and wowed me. It was a lot more like the way they move about in the films. Gone are the days of flip the calves/feet down, pop out the arms, rotate torso, flip up head DONE. And there is a very good reason for that: creating a FAR SUPERIOR robot mode. The robot modes are so impressive in these new Transformers its insane and this Bumblebee is TOTALLY my favorite. He's extremely close to be the spitting image of his on screen self. Amazing head sculpt with perfect detailing, even his chest plate folds down in the center like its supposed to on film (which its not flipped down all the way in package, just FYI). I love this figure to death. Its one of my favorite Transformers ever, and I've been messing with these things since Bumblebee was just a little Bug with articulated arms and a flip up head that couldn't turn and a hologram logo on his chest/roof. This figure is amazing. Period. The kid in me that loves robots and cars is happy in both modes. The adult in me that can respect sculpting, articulation and engineering is even more wowwed. Don't listen to these haters. If you love Transformers, want the best Bumblebee ever made, and can READ SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS properly, then do not pass up this amazing toy!

This toy is pretty good in some ways but not in others. It is very hard to transform when you first get it but after a while you get the hang of it. The missile sometimes goes really far and other times doesn't even leave the gun. Pieces sometimes pop off during transformation and are very easy to pop back on, but after a while it gets annoying. This toy is very realistic. Overall I think this is an okay toy, but could use some improvement.

I've read that a lot of people have had problems with this figure. The only problem that is reaccurring with me are the shoulder pieces during transformation from robot to car mode. They like to pop off frequently, but nothing a little superglue couldn't fix. This is still the same Bumblebee layout from the first movie's line, only with added features. The figure, in addition to the new sculpt in car mode, has a new movie acurrate head sculpt as well. Also, this figure comes with an updated arm cannon that when in robot mode, flips out allowing you to insert the fire missle for the shooting gimmic. Other than that, not much new about this one. This figure's arm cannon can be removed and actually needs to be in order to transform into car mode. The instructions show that when in car mode, the cannon with the missle inserted can be stored into the empty space under the car. Overall a much nicer presentation than the previous movie line, with a few flaws, not enough to take it down any. The transformation is the same as the previous movie Bumblebee. There is also a Shoulder Cannon Bumblebee, with similar car and robot mode, in this new movie's toy line. I've seen the transformation for that one and it is complicated and drastically different compared to the other one. Highly recommend getting this one though.

I bought this and the silver one for my son, it broke right away. Transformers makes toys that are more durable but these aren't the ones. Arms and legs popped off, its now in pieces. We have two sandwich bags full of the pieces. Honestly I was the one who broke this one my son couldn't figure out how to open or close it and I tried to but it was very difficult and broke. My husband broke the silver one same situation, first opened it, and tried to transform it and it broke. I advise do some research so u can save your money.

Wow, there are a lot of whiners who hate this thing...
Why does it so often seem like I'm one of the only people who appreciates a thoughtful and somewhat challenging transformation?
I'd take that over say...the shellformers or the kibble laden Big Convoy from beast wars neo? (seriously, it was like two pathetic toys in one!)
I dunno, i really like this transformer, either as a collectors' item (hey, he looks pretty cool in the package) or as a toy (hey, he runs, guns, and transforms rather smoothly)
I will grant you that there are a WHOLE lot of little panels and pieces to this guy, which is probably due to how awesome he looks as a robot (and how screen accurate)
On the plus side, there is a lot of automorph to this guy, rotating his chest (the car hood) up rotates his arms and his windshield (its on his back) and sliding his feet up into position automaticly positions his rear fender and back window.
I will also grant you that perhaps some of him is rather flimsy (his back window splits in two for goodness sakes) and some of the pieces can be tricky to fit in (doors?)
Still, i think his camaro looks fantastic, and that his transformation, while difficult at first, is relatively easy since its basicly as follows:
slide foot flush with shin (repeat on other foot)
slide up hood over head
place hands behing his back (like he's been arrested for speeding) and snap the roof halves into place
slide in the doors and lock
OH and snap his feet together
there
done
that was easy (easy button anyone?)
in fact the only real difficulty I've had with this guy is getting his doors to line up, but to be honest? transforming him back and forth is easy once you know how to do it, and if u know where everything goes on a car (you drivers should really) its pretty intuitive
To finish, he's an outstanding mold and a fantastic camaro (camero? I can never remember how to spell it...) His tranformation can be a little tricky at first, but you really should be able to get the hang of it after two or three transformations
no longer is it simply "break apart all the kibble to reveal the robot inside" which I think is why everyone seems to be griping
(side note, when even my five year old brother can figure it out with the instructions, you know its not that hard...)
all in all worth the ten bucks or so you'll spend on it at target or toys R us or wherever

I got this toy for my son who turned 5 and loves the Transformers. It is awful - the parts pop off much more easily than they should for a kid to use and it is impossible to transform from robot mode to car mode. My husband who is an engineer could not figure out how to transform it and certainly my 5 year old could not change it. In fact my husband was talking with some co-workers who also said what terrible toys the new generation of Transformers are. It's unfortunate because they don't need to be so difficult but I would not recommend this item or any of the more advanced Transformers to anyone to buy. Unless you just want to use the toy as a robot and not play with it. Very disappointing - buyer beware. :(

Most of the reviews from parents ive read here start with this phrase "my 4 y/o son, my 4.5y/o son...." did you know that this toy is for 5 and ups? Seriously, what is wrong with America? Give them some challenge and they will throw it at you. Thats what their kids need.

I passed this guy up my first few trips to the store in favor of better figures (leader Prime and Megatron). He didn't look all that great in the package. I finally picked him up with Deluxe Skids, and even then, didn't bother with him until after I messed around with Skids for a while, who is also cool. Once you actually start messing around with the toy, you can see the charm it has, much like the actual Bumblebee character. The head sculpt is dead on. The detail in robot and car mode is very nice. It's a well articulated figure, and can stand and be posed fairly well. Turning him into car mode takes a little finesse to get complete, but it's not a complex transformation like Prime. Yes, pieces pop off, but like some of the more observent reviewers have pointed out, they are meant to do that so the brand new toy isn't permenently broke. They go back easily, and stay on. The gun arm is MENT to come off in car mode. A very cool and fun figure.

ROTF Bumblebee is another good one in the deluxe line!Bumblebee has a slight mold variation from the first movie series.The chest piece sticks out more instead of being more flat to the chest.The torso piece has less decor as well.The big difference is Bumblebee has one regular hand and his trusty pulse cannon blaster on the other arm which does come with a firing projectile.I personally think having two hands look better,but the pulse cannon on one does give it somewhat more realism to the movie for battle scenes.The head piece is more realistic to Bumblebee in the movie,but again I think the head piece on the first versions was alot cooler looking.Overall Bumblebee has great articulation in the legs,arms,body,and head piece in robot mode while having awesome detail in the camaro mode.The poseability is outstanding with great stability for creating battle scenes or displaying where you please.The durability is excellent as well with secure joints and a solid build in either mode.The transformation level is intermediate meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is a mid-level difficulty.If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you might have to help some in the process.Bumblebee does have a very versatile transformation for all ages.To start off rotate the feet up against the leg while the front piece of the rear wheel rim rotates down to connect with the back section piece of the camaro.The headlight sections on the chest rotate down so there is one solid piece.The arms then rotate around so the hand is palm side up.The door panels will rotate outwards as well.The chest piece then rotates up and over the head piece.The front windshield piece rotates up as the front wheels rotate around so the doors are behind the wheels.The tricky part is positioning the arms right in the interior of the camaro.The arms will be in an L-shape with the hand being palm up and the bigger part of the pulse cannon piece being torwards the inside next to the hand.A little part of the pulse cannon will be under the rear windshield.The front wheels slide in as the roof section connects with the body of the camaro.The doors close and Bumblebee is ready to roll out!The missile can be stored in the pulse cannon in camaro mode as well.Bumblebee is a great addition for any transformer fan.Bottom line ROTF Bunblebee is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 transformer all fans will enjoy.I highly recommend Bumblebee to all transformer fans and collectors out there.Bumblebee Rocks and Transformers Rule!!!

This toy is currently caught in a limp state between a car and a robot. As a car, it doesn't quite fit very accurately, and one can't be expected to play with the car. As a Robot, it seemed to be a bit imbalanced, but with adjustments stood well.

Overall, the play-value of this toy is a tad lower in my book. Might not recommend this to anyone.
