Like the ROTF Leader Class Prime, this Megatron is a big improvement over his first movie Leader Class incarnation. The detail is much improved, I like that he turns into something that we have seen Megatron as in past cartoons, and the design in robot mode is much closer to that which is seen in the original G1 cartoon. The tank mode is awesome, almost looking better than robot mode. The transformation is actually not that bad, something that if a little kids wants to they could do. The only problem is maybe needing a little muscle. Having Hugo Weaving's voice is cool. The cannon noise gets a little annoying with every time you turn the gun arm. Overall, a pretty good Megatron.

I'm a little late to the party on Revenge of the Fallen Megatron. He wasn't in my top list of picks but I picked him up on a whim and put him though the paces. In ROTF old Megatron is back in action thanks to a little Decepticon cannibalism at the bottom of the ocean and has been upgraded with treads. For Kids: Giant robot, giant gun, giant tank, lights and sounds, shooting projectile, transformer... I see no negatives here for a kid to have a blast with Megatron. Not to mention he has a sleek alien cool look to him. If your kid liked the movies at all or just likes cool toys I'd say this guy's a sure bet. His transformation is easier than it looks like it would be as well and with a little demonstration a kid should get it. For Adults: The improvement to the robot form here over the movie one version is on par with what was done with Optimus Prime and Starscream. He looks much sleeker, less clunky and more screen accurate than his movie one counterpart. Also, his redesign into a more tank like being as opposed to a jet like being gives him a much tougher look. I'm impressed with the detail and looks of his legs this time around. The foot treads look really cool. The more robust nature of his legs and feet allow for deep and impressive posing. His right arm is a humongous gun - seriously it's huge - while his left is a spindly little thing with long fingers. That's not to say it looks bad but it does look a little funny in comparison to his tank gun arm. While never as much as there could be what paint is here is clean and looks good. He's molded in a light grey to approximate silver. The treads are black and there is some black paint to point out some details of his face like his tiny sharp teeth. There's a pretty good amount of detail painted into the machinery in the treads. His eyes and some areas under his chest are clear red. The transformation (especially compared to Optimus) is almost a piece of cake. In very simplified terms it involves swinging his arms back and around (the big gun may pop off during transformation but easily pops back on), tilting his legs correctly and flattening them out into the tank treads, moving the jets to the back of the tank and clicking the gun in place then finishing off with little detail flips and clicking tabs as usual. Tank mode looks great. It's an alien looking affair but not so crazy looking as to be unidentifiable. The layout of the treads gives it an interesting look and the jets at back make you think this is one tank that could set some land speed records. If the gun could rotate it would be the only improvement I can think of. Action features include three sounds - A gun firing sound as you move the gun arm around or fire it from tank mode, a transformation sound during the leg part of transformation and of course, "I AM MEGATRON!" in a booming voice as you push the lever in his chest down. Pushing the lever causes the gears in his chest to move and bright red lights to flare in his chest and eyes. He has a shooting projectile and the back of the gun can swing forward and at the push of a button a sword pops out. I have to say this is a better looking and much more fun toy than I expected. I have to be fair and say there is nothing that bothers me about this guy. Usually there's something - some aspect of the look or paint or the difficulty of transformation - that's not the case here so I have no reason not to give him five stars.

My son loved this toy, and its complexity stimulate the learn and the creativity. On the "transformation" feature, at the other hand, the "locks" and "fits" could be a little hard some times, but overall, it's a nice big robot.

the toy is very well done. Their sounds are very well simulated, but has two points in its structure very fragile to handle. In my opinion, better designed details: leader Optimus Prime, Jetfire leader and class leader starscreem. But overall I really like

I will say Megatron is back and more bad-ass than ever! The ROTF version is an excellent Megatron figure all around. The detail is awesome. He is very poseable and sturdy for when you want to act out battle scenes or just have him displayed somewhere. The electronic voice and transformation sounds are excellent. He is also a very durable figure. The snap out claw feature is very sweet also. The transformation can be a little difficult for a child 5 or younger.I had no problem transforming him back&forth myself.I am a huge Megatron fan and was very pleased with the ROTF version.Overall Megatron is a very well made, highly detailed, durable, awesome figure.Transformers Rule!!!!!!!

This is a really great toy! I love robot mode. It is very accurate to the movie. Tank mode is a great representation to the live action movie. The only thing is that he is bigger than the fallen. But he is a great figure and this was Jean's son agan.

Megatron is really neat! He is very durable, except the back of his legs tend to collapse. I wish he had an elbow joint on his cannon arm; the cannon sound fires too much. But to fix that, his arm can be easily removed. His missile is cool, and his voice clip is nice. I never get tired of hearing it. He has incredible detail, especially his claw. I like the flip forward blade a lot. His transformation is somewhat simple, but cool. Overall, Megatron is a nice toy, but if you find Jetfire at the store, get him instead of Megatron. I would recommend Megatron and Optimus Prime, because it looks like they really good fight.

I love this figure. The legs are took me a couple times to figure out but are pretty simple after you transform him a couple times. I really wished they would of given more articulation to the tank arm. This figure isn't too hard to transform compared to Optimus but if you're going to get Optimus, why not Megatron?

ROTF Megatron, unlike the first movie, is a cybertronian tank. This toy is very cool. Some things I like about it are: It has a sword blaster like in the movie, it has the accurate boosters that fold up onto his back like in the movie, and I like the blasting sounds that he makes in tank mode. One of the things that are not my favorite about this toy is that his right arm has no circulation except side to side and up and down. In his vehicle mode, his treads don't move, but they have wheels under them so they can roll. I recommend this to anybody who likes transformers. It is great. I think that you would have to be a stick in the mud to not want to play with this! (No offense to the people who don't want to play with it.)
