This review is from: Transformers Voyager Megatron (Toy)
This is one version, of two, of The Fallen in toy form (the other form being approximately a 4 inch tall figure), and this figure is really neat! The Voyager series is quite possibly the best version of the Transformer figures we get with this particular movie. The figures run at about $23 depending on where you buy them.
I also bought the Optimus and The Fallen figures of the Voyager editions and, this also goes with The Fallen, the figures all feel cheap. The plastic is extremely lightweight and it's tough to keep the figures from staying in their vehicle modes (Optimus) without the aid of a rubber band. As much as I love these figures I will say right now that the Transformers toys from the 80s were of better quality than these. These feel like toddler toys that will break apart at any second when you handle them. Despite the cheaper feeling plastic used with this figure, Hasbro's attention to detail is absolutely phenomenal! The little wires and trinkets that are shown on Megatron during the movie are present here and the paint job is top-notch! This figure is a much better alternative to the $45 version that has lights and voice at the push of a button. The transformation of this figure is a bit difficult so you'll want to keep the directions that come with the figure. Overall, the figure is exceptional and highly recommended for any collector or fan of the Transformers toys! The appendages look great as well as the paint job!

Megatron is back for round 2 with Mech Alive action and as menacing as ever! The one great thing about this voyager version compared to the leader version is the equal proportion on each arm. Also if you twist the waist the internal gears are activated. The detail on Megatron in both robot and Cybertronian Tank Mode is outstanding. The tank mode shows great realism to what you see in the movie while the robot form has awesome articulation throughout thye legs ,body, arms and head piece. In Cybertronian Tank Mode there is a button you press to fire the fusion blast missile while also having extending wings for air assault to make this bad boy a double threat.Megatron in robot mode has a cannon/extending energy sword on one arm with the fusion blast cannon on the other for firepower to match any enemy around. The poseability is awesome as well with great stability while having the ability for many battle scene or displaying poses. The durability is excellent with Megatron able to handle whatever comes his way.He is a very solid transformer overall. The transformation level is advanced meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is mid-level difficulty. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you will have to help some in the process.Honestly Megatron is very versatile for all ages so after a few times of transforming back&forth most ages should be able to get the hang of it.To start off fold the wing/sides of the tank top upwards while the tank treads which are the legs get rotated towards the back. The feet fold out while the legs go up then down so they have a v-shape.The arms then fold out to each side while the cover guard over the head piece is rotated to the back. The head is then folded down into place while the back piece is formed.Megatron is then revealed!Bottom line Megatron is a high quality,well-made,10 out of 10 transformer all fans will enjoy.I highly recommend Megatron to all fans and collectors alike.Transformers Rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Voyager Megatron is a very nice figure for any collection. His head mold is cool, and his eyes can glow when exposed to light. The robot mode overall is a good representation. His right arm has a sweet flip-out blade on it, and the left one fires a plastic missile. The transformation is really easy, making him a good transformer for beginners. I would totally recommend this to a friend.

This is the Voyager version of Megatron from the 2nd Transformers movie, "Revenge of the Fallen." I'm a G1 fan and I haven't seen either of the live-action movies, but I'm really impressed with this toy. My son received this for his birthday and my first impression of it was the Cybertronian tank mode (as packaged). I thought "Wait, isn't Megatron a handgun? What is this thing?"
The tank mode is a little less impressive than might be hoped for. The robot mode has some significant asymmetry, which does carry over to the alt-mode. This is mostly hid by a giant "shield" over the top of the tank, but it is difficult to make it level because of the single crab claw that wraps around back. The claw also makes the treads difficult to level and looks "kibble"ish when viewed from the rear. It does have nice detail and the plastic has the feeling of high-quality. The robot mode makes up for any drawbacks of the tank. Probably the most distinctive feature of the robot mode is the head. The visage is genuinely scary - not cartoony or menacing even, but flat-out scary. I was impressed. The claw arm has some interesting gears (the "mech-alive" gimmick) that move with the arm, and the cannon arm has a powerful launcher (missile travels maybe a couple of feet). The tank shield is just kibble, and slightly irritating at that, in this form, although one could imagine them being wings. The asymmetry in this form and the non-anthropomorphic aspects (claw arm, brutish jaw, goat feet, etc.) make for a very disturbing and alien aspect. There's a "wrongness" to it that seems very intuitive to a hostile alien. So far, it has held up structurally very well. Some parts of the wings will pop off with pressure, but the joints have remained tight and the moving parts are neither loose nor stiff. The transform is interesting, although the tank shield seems to serve mainly to encase the robot like a pretender shell. I find it a very atractive (in a "bad" way) sculpt, a fun transform, and a sturdy piece. it should be enjoyed by children and adults alike.

Overall this Megatron toy is pretty qreat! The cannon on the right arm is just awesome and it can convert into a blade. For the most part, this toy is accurate to the movie version, and the Cybertronian tank looks pretty cool. He doesn't fall apart and is pretty durable.the transformation is fairly easy as well. I would definitly recommend this for anyone.

This was a holiday present for a four year old and he continues to enjoy it. The transformation is neither simple nor clean (things don't quite snap into place to indicate that you're done, as some other transformer toys do), so he requires occasional help. The toy has taken a fair bit of abuse and is still in one piece, which is impressive. The projectile is easy to lose though.

We've had so many transformers, and this one seems to be the worse
The plastic just seems like it is made so cheaply or fragile. Tiny pieces fly off and get lost - get the bigger one

This Megatron seems so much better than the Movie Leader version, other than the size difference and lack of lights/sounds. The Movie Leader version is top heavy in vehicle mode, making it look more like a world war 1 tank than a cybertronian tank-ship. The Voyager class Megatron is much sleeker and flatter in vehicle mode, and has jet engines, which the movie leader seems to lack.
If only they had fused this version and the Movie Leader, Megatron would be perfectly evil.

This wasn't on my 8 year old sons Christmas list but at Amazon's amazing price with prime shipping I had to get it! My son loved it!! He is a big Transformers ( as is his dad ) fan and didn't have any of the bad guys so this was a surprise! It took a bit for him to be able to transform it himself but he seemed to get this one quicker than some of his other ones.

this is the second voyager toy I've bought besides Starscream, i love the detail on Megatron and the color is great, i love how it looks identical to his movie counterpart, and the tank mode is perfect, my only complaint is in robot mode, his tank-top (lol) becomes a backpack, and this takes away from the excitement, but he is a tank, which can fly, so nothing wrong with him being able to fly in robot mode, all in all i have a new favorite toy. his fusion gun/crab claw is neat and his other arm is just as sweet. some voyagers have limited pose ability but this guy exceeds all my other figures, and ps his head sculpt is amazing!
