Mudflap is cute, durable, but Skidz makes for an easier transformation and more posable stance,

I was wondering why poor Mudflap was in stores more than his brother Skidz - got Mudflap on sale at Walmart for cheap, bless his heart...anyway, when I got the lil Autobot home, transformed him, and tossed the directions (the pictures never help, ever). Anyway, he looks like the picture, but because the twins are so top heavy (their backs), Mudflap tends to fall over when you stand him up. And because he transforms differently than Skidz, he's not as sturdy. But I want them both together, so he ended up sitting down, while Skidz is standing up lol. It's no biggie, love the Autobots, and love Mudflap too. All and all, if you're getting it for your little one, and he doesn't mind it not standing too much, it's fine. But if you're a collector, you better get him just right when he's standing, otherwhise he'll topple over!

I just got this toy i love it I think it is a great toy for kids. I was able to do this transformation very easily. Me and my brother play with our transformers he gets decepticon and I get autobot. I would recomend Transformers Movie 2 Deluxe Mudflap to anyone who likes a challenge.

Worst Toy I've Ever Purchased,

I was really excited to purchase Transformer toys for my five-year-old son and relive my childhood again. Boy was I disappointed. Actually, disappointed is a HUGE understatement. I was furious. Hasbro has truly gone down hill by cutting costs to increase profit margins and essentially made a really, really bad product. The older Transformer toys from my childhood were durable and were at least 60% metal (some were even 100% -except for the wheels). The only metal on the new ones are the screws that BARELY hold the pieces together. What Hasbro has apparently done is made the pieces easily "pop-off-able" for lack of a better term. Meaning, in order to avoid customers breaking the toy while trying to transform the untransformable, Hasbro redesigned all the pieces on the Transformers to use a circular knob at the end to allow the pieces to rotate in all directions and easily "pop off" if bent to far to avoid breakage. This was a lot cheaper than manufacturing toys made of solid metal that would not break if you tried to transform the robot incorrectly. Using metal also made the toys easier to transform because you were pretty much prevented from turning the pieces too far in the wrong direction.
I cannot tell you how much I HATE the new Transformer product line. I am a VERY technical person. I am a software developer and I also do home improvement. If it took me an hour to finally transform 2 of these things then there's NO way my five-year-old would have EVER been able to do it. SHAME ON YOU HASBRO!!!

We bought the transformer figure as a gift and while it was truly well recieved we have since learned that the kid is struggling a bit with making the transformation without help and that he actually while trying got one of the parts slightly bend. So while this looks to be a great toy for Transformers fans it appears to be a bit difficult to use for the kids.

Hi it is lorenzo but I'm a kid. Mudflap is a great transformer all around. The transformation is fun but not so easy {flip flip flip and done.} Mudflap has the gun and skids has the rope. The Ha versoin for mudflap has both and Skids has the gun and it is the same as on the FAB Mudflap/no gun. The version is overall great but you do have to pose his feet sometimes or he will fall over. His brother Skids dosen't have the problem but Mudflap is an fun, great version to.He is great with the leaders and voyagers, lots of fun too. If you want somethigh for your kids get the deluxes but get the HA versions if you want better on-screen ones.

I bought this for my son who is a action figure junky. It was difficult to transform and the parts kept breaking off. MY son was always asking me to fix it. Pieces ended up breaking off that could not be repaired. We will not buy these again as they only frustrated everyone

Mudflap is built with flimsy plastic parts that fall off easily and break. The transformation was ridiculously confusing--I honestly sat with the directions for 30 minutes trying to make it work (and I am mechanically inclined with these things). Once I did, like everyone said, it doesn't stand up, then getting it back into the car is not worth the time. The doors fall of and are cheap. I have never had this bad of luck with transformers (except with the blue fire-engine one, which also broke too easily); it has made me weary of buying them again, and I didn't pay 2.50 for it...it was closer to eleven I think....don't buy it!

I guess some things just arent as good the second time around. I loved the original transformer toys. I was excited to introduce my son to a bit of my childhood but was dissapointed that this thing was so dificult to transform and then when it was transformed was so unstable it was pretty much unusable. I guess if you are some sort of transformers fanboy and want to have this sitting by your computer next to the spawn figurines this is for you, otherwise this wasnt worth the clearance price I paid 0f 2.50 let alone full price.

Overall this is a bad design. The transformer won't stand when transformed and it is very difficult to get back in it car configuration correctly. It is definitely not for a 5 year old. I would say 8 minimum.

I bought this for my 5 year old son. He loves Transformers, so I was very excited to receive it. When it came, I was so disappointed. He couldn't work it at all. It is very hard to make it "transform." My 8 year old daughter couldn't do it very well, either. They asked me for help. I tried to move it and it broke. I put it back together and tried another place - also broke. In my opinion, this toy is junk.
