My son is 5. This is a "Level 3" toy for ages 5+. Falls apart like crazy. I put the head back on a hundred times a day. I try to get the head back on and the legs snap off. What a pain. We returned it and got a Level 2 Bumblebee transformer. The transformation is simpler and the pieces don't pop off as easily.

I don't know if I can return this product because it's in the hand of a 5 year old right now who doesn't want to return it, but I feel completely duped and am trying to talk him into it. The second I started transforming it, one arm fell off. Then a leg, then another arm. Then another piece. Completely frustrating. I tend to look at Amazon as my "go to" place for items, and I don't expect pricing to be too high because it's typically fair. Well, this is a $[...] transformer that I paid $[...] for, plus shipping. With that price, I expected this would be one of the nicer well-made-transformers but it wasn't the case. I don't typically go to big toy stores to compare price since I live in a rural area, but now feel like I had better start because I was definitely taken. Do not buy here, you will pay less at a store (based on some of the other reviews I see now), and expect it to fall apart. Very disappointed.

His motercycle mode is sweet and his robot mode is okay, except for his head. His head is one of the only lame things tht's on him. His legs, arms, and head occasionally fall off. The transformation is so easy that it can be figured out without instructions. I prefer him in vehicle mode. All in all, my sixteeth transformer is pretty awesome.

I just thought this one looked cool! I am a fan of G1 mainly, but thought that this looked like a good renewal of Prowl. Very posable and fun to display or play with. Looks cool in Bike and robot modes. Highly recommend for any Transformer fan.

This is the best motorcycle transformer I have ever come across. So many end up with a bulk area where the wheels need to be stored. This one, the wheels go into the legs nicely, leaving no added and ungainly bulk anywhere. I also like that it is sized for the standard 3.5 inch action figure (Prowl makes a great ride for Snake-Eyes).
The drawbacks? Arms and legs can pop off easily during transformation is not done carefully (they go back on easily enough, though). The head on mine ALWAYS comes off going from cycle to robot. (It gets stuck in the hidden compartment and detaches during the auto-morph process.)
The wheels housed throwing stars do not come off easily either.
(The street light whip is lame and I tossed that.)

you can find this toy at toys r us and target for 10 bucks. nearly 20 is far too much for a hand held toy like this, you'll be happy you went to the store and grabbed him.

Although it is a little hard to transform at times( i dont want to damage it) it is a cool addition to my collection as well as anyone else. Although the mecha stars are a real pain to remove from the wheel placement.
