Transformers Animated Voyager Optimus Prime Earth Mod

If you're a fan of the new Transformers Animated series and are wondering which of the 5 Optimus Primes currently available will best serve you, then look no further. This, so far, is THE Optimus Prime to have.

The fire truck mode is solid, and the cab looks just like it came straight out of the show. Transformation is fun! It's not mind-numbingly simple, nor is it frustratingly difficult. The spin-transformation gimmick is unnecessary, but easy to figure out.

The robot mode is great, too! Prime looks -again- just like he does on the show. The 'bot is fully posable and fun to play with. His flip-up face plate is a really nice touch. Veteran fans who don't want to accept an Optimus with a mouth don't ever have to see it. His ax may not be as accurate as the rest of him, but it's still an interesting and unique weapon. As an added bonus, that gun he totes around shoots water! (You know, 'cause he's a fire truck...)

Compared to the other Optimuses out there, this is the one to get. Cybertron Optimus isn't that interesting; Battle Damage Optimus (2-pack with Megatron) doesn't quite match his show appearance; Supreme Roll Out Optimus is way too big and clunky in robot mode; and Activators Optimus doesn't get an ax at all. This is the happy medium that will give you the most bang for your buck. Pick him up!

Well I'd been disappointed before, but I have to say that this my favorite Optimus Prime to date. Not only does it look great (just like the cartoon) and the transform feature is cool but not difficult but they've thought of everything. You can actually play with Prime when he's in robot mode! The transform is so well do that everything lock into place and he actually becomes an ACTION FIGURE! This is the figure I wish was available when I was growing up!

I bought this for my 2 year old nephew for Christmas as he is just getting into transformers. He loves it and is even learning how to transform it himself. According to his dad, it is not as difficult to transform as the others out there. Over all, I think it is very durable and will hold up to this 2 year old!!

I bought this for my 4 1/2 year old grandson for Christmas. He is so into the superhero stage right now. He watched the movie just before Christmas and was so excited when he saw Optimus Prime. He spends most of his time just changing it back and forth. This toy is great!

Grandson loved it, but it isn'y an educational toy and it is a little difficult to transform.

I bought this for my son's fifth birthday. He's rough on toys, and this Optimus Price actually stands up to the abuse. (I gave it four stars instead of five for durability only because transformers, even the best, aren't that durable in the hands of a five year old boy.) Most of the transformers of conversion level 3 are too complicated for parents, much less a five year old, but my son qucikly learned how to transform this Optimus. (Yes! No more, "Dad, please transform this for me.) It looks great as a robot and as a truck, and more importantly, in both modes, it's actually a fun toy. Most transformers just aren't worth it for small children, but this one is. (That said, I wish they'd bring back the GoBots for the three to five year old age group.)

I've been collecting the Transformers Animated figures and so far I only have a handful because I'm kind of picky. I usually get figures that look cool or if I like the character I'll get them. This one looks great, though. Probably one of the best ones in the line. He has great show accuracy, he's big, but not too big, he looks heroic in his natural pose, it gives you an option to use his face plate or not, he's easy to transform. All around a great addition to my collection. I would've liked to have had something like this back when I watched the old G1 cartoon.

Also, he kind of transforms like his G1 predecessor, which is an added bonus. (He is a bit more complicated, but they both have the same basic shape.)

Plus he looks good with my other Transformers Animated and Beast Wars collection.

My son received this toy as a gift from his grandparents for his 5th birthday. He had only shown mild interest in Transformers before. But was excited because he really likes robots. We knew from the beginning that this toy was going to be trouble. For starters, every time you touch it, several parts fall off. Secondly, you can't reconfigure the thing without the directions. (did I mention my son is 5). I think it is the mark of a really poorly designed toy if a reasonably bright child within the appropriate age range needs a parents help to play with it.

This thing is awesome. It's got the axe, and a gun that shoots water! The coolest part is that his face amour comes down, just like in the show! Grade A job hasbro.

I am a big fan of the TF animated series and collect all the robots from it. Primarily because there is high level of accuracy between the toy models and the characters from the cartoon

When I got mines i noticed a lil damage on the plate for the front left arm, as if the plastic had been bent too much. But I guess I can live with it
