Transformers have always been justly praised for their inherent value. After all, when something can be both a robot and a vehicle, it's pretty much a money-saving bargain since it's two toys in one. Now added to the Transformers' impressive résumé is a new compatibility with leading construction toys, including LEGO and Mega-Bloks. This resilient Transformer, colored a mellow burgundy, is fairly easy to construct using the included directions and can change from airplane to robot with relative ease. It features 40 pieces in total and includes two spring-loaded missiles. We were impressed with Star Scream's ability to play nicely with other toys outside its traditional genre and excited about the possibility of attaching LEGO pirates to a Transformer for some interesting crossover opportunities. --Charlie Williams

Our boys each got this toy for Christmas. Very excited we put it together right away. Basically you could blow on this toy and the parts would fall to the floor. Our kids tried to play with this toy and make it work, but it does not stay together. The parts do not fit together well and once you do get them together you might as well put it on a shelf if you want it to stay together. We were very disappointed. It says BTR on on the side for built to rule. Should be more like BTFA - built to fall apart.

My son recieved this set as a birthday gift, and was very excited about it. He loves legos and transformers, so what could be better than combining the two? How about a toy that stays together? We put this toy together and found that the pieces do not fit into each other as well as legos do, and the slightest jar to them will send the entire thing into peices. It was very frustrating. You can't glue them together, either, if you want ot be able to "transform" it into robot mode.

Very Disappointing.
