I'm disappointed that it isn't metal, for one thing. I saw that the shipping weight was "1 pound" so I assumed that it was, but I should have known better. Still, I find it hard to believe that the fact that it is made of plastic wasn't intentionally omitted from the description(Technically, it is not "chrome" as it says, but "chrome-colored" as chrome is actually a kind of metal). I'd be a lot more forgiving if the chrome paint job was better, but there are little scratches and pinhead-sized imperfections in the finish that ruin it for me. I feel like I got taken for fifteen dollars...this is something I'd expect to see at Spencer's Gifts for maybe three or four bucks.

Having an Autobot or Decepticon symbol on your car or sports car ..sounds like a great idea..put in the right place it would add that special coolness factor...a custom touch if you will.

but, after seeing these in person..not a good idea! save your money (where i get my car washed and detailed they sell these)

first off its Not chrome or even metal..its mirrored plated plastic! for that"chrome look" sure it would look good on the car..but its cheaply made.

also..how well would these things stand up to winter weather or car washes etc ??

dont forget this would be a nice little thing some punk could rip off your car..then your paint would be all messed up..because this has a strong sticker agent sort of like an epoxy...you pull it off..well you know.

if this was solid metal, it would be worth checking out.. a great idea but poorly executed.

I can't say more then that. The automated car-wash out by my house didn't rip it off the hood of my Pontiac, it looks nice, and its reasonabily sized. Had ti for a few months now and still not damaged.

I purchased this item, and should have been more careful about which one I was buying. In addition to being cheap, junky plastic, it has two extra depressed area that aren't supposed to be there on the symbol. They're right above the eyes- you can see them in the picture. Also, at the edges of the black channels, the plastic is noticeably raised (I guess it makes it more sturdy?), and the black paint doesn't cover it well. I'll probably give this one to the kids and look for a better metal one.

The 3M tape used on the back of the transformer emblems/decals does not stick well to side of vehicles subjected to hot weather. After 1 day the transformers decals slid down the side of my car. I took the emblems off my car completely. I expect a refund.

It stuck to my car great, but two weeks later it rained once and the plastiv part feel off! The Black sticky part is still on my bumper though! Maybe if you catch if falling off you can super glue it to the adhesive still attached to your bumper!

I couldn't be more disappointed. The item received is plastic, thin and cheap looking. The item shown in photographs at least LOOKS chrome. The decal item received does not even remotely look like chrome. It is metallic colored. I would put this on my lunch box in the 3rd grade. Not on my car. EPIC FAIL. Save your money. Find another vendor at the very least.

In the photo this emblem looks to be about 1/8 of an inch thick. It is NOT. It may be 1/32 of an inch thick max. Might as well be a sticker.

last longer than my car did (mechanically) put this thing on my 1992 ford escort that i got for senior year of high school. really added some style to a white car with red interior. put it right on the bottom center of the hood. lastest through below 0 temps and above 100 temps and several car washes won't disappoint if you buy it.

i was disapointed too that's it's cheap color chrome and not real metal. it makes the car looks cheap. So I'm returning it and looking for a real metal one. These blend in more if placed on the car body rather than on the windows becuase they are 3-d.
