I'm not sure why Amazon rates this as a toy, but the cake topper aspect of it is hard to beat. I'm not a professional baker or homemaker so my cake looked nothing like the picture. However, the Optimus Prime and Bumblebee characters were a hit on the cake. The toppers are made of a soft plastic so they're easily washable and stand well on a cake. The "Transformers" logo is just a simple plastic plate that is strictly for display. The little characters are nice for decorating a bookshelf after the cake and party are over.

I used this item to decorate an ice cream cake for my grandson's birthday. He loved that he got to keep the Transformers as toys. It really was a cute cake.

His birthday was in April and he still has both transformers in one piece. They are sturdy and worked very well. Obviously the transformer logo is just a piece of flimsy plastic but the toys can definitely be played with.

I bought this to top a sheet cake for a little boy's birthday. I didn't expect the toys to be so nice for such a cheap price. They make great toys for afterward. I would recommend it to anyone.

My son LOVES transformers and for the second year in a row he wanted a transformer birthday cake. Last year he had a Optimus Prime/Bumblebee topper on his cake as well. The toppers pictured on this cake looked more detailed and more grown up than the ones he had last year, so this is why I ordered them. But to my surprise, when I received them in the mail they are identical to the ones he had last year...... NOT what is pictured. While they are very nice toys, I would have never ordered or paid to have the exact ones that I already have at my house. So BEWARE that the picture displayed is not what you will actually receive.
