Format: DVD
Transformers: The Complete Series is a new 15-DVD collection featuring all 98 remastered original Transformers episodes (and respective special features) from the following:

Transformers: The Complete First Season (25th Anniversary Edition)
Transformers: Season Two, Volume One (25th Anniversary Edition)
Transformers: Season Two, Volume Two (25th Anniversary Edition)
Transformers: Seasons Three & Four (25th Anniversary Edition)

Touted as an "unlimited" general retail release to replace the limited Transformers: The Complete Series (25th Anniversary Matrix of Leadership Edition), this 15-disc Collector's Set (housed in a new shiny outer case) is recommended to fans who don't own any of the previous season set releases and don't care about the exclusive bonus material from the Matrix of Leadership Edition as this set no more, no less contains only the disc content from the separate season releases. None of the exclusive extras from the Matrix of Leadership set (nor The Movie or Japanese series) are included. To fans that already own the separate season sets, just know that aside from the new shiny outer case (which you can purchase by itself online at Shout!

I can't say enough about this cartoon! If you remember the original Transformers : Generation One cartoon from the 1980s, This is must have animated DVD set! The Transformers The complete series dvd set (1984-1987) is the original version. This is not the Michael Bay/Steven Spielberg live-action movies. Peter Cullen is the voice of Optimus Prime and Ironhide. Frank Welker is the original voice of Megatron and many other Decepticons. This set includes all 98 episodes of the original Transformers series. Bonus features include:
Rare Public Service Announcements
Archival Toy Commercials
Art Galleries
Retrospective Features
From the Secret Files of Teletran 2
PSAs
Toy Commericals
Art Galleries and many more features

So, I got this for my five year old son for Christmas. What he and my wife don't realize is that it was also for me. I loved the cartoon when I was a kid and am glad that I get to share this with my son. This is the whole Transformers series and seems to look to be pretty good viewing quality considering the show aired almost 30 years ago. Definatly recommend this for anyone with young Transformer fans.

The whole series in a package deal... as opposed to selling you the seasons individually. So what if it's not on Blu-Ray? One, Just how would that improve the visual quality of an OLD cartoon? Two, is there a Blu-Ray player that doesn't play DVDs?

The stupid added Rhino sound effects are gone. That alone sells me on the set.

Will the new G1 Transformers set include the movie?
It keeps getting re-released. I wouldn't be surprised
if it got another one.
