During the desperate final battle to destroy UNICRON nearly ten years ago, WING SABER and OPTIMUS PRIME became fast friends. It was there, within the depths of the planet-sized UNICRON that they first discovered their ability to combine into the powerful Sonic Wing Mode. Since then, the two warriors have grown apart. OPTIMUS PRIME is a born leader, committed to leading the AUTOBOTS on CYBERTRON and trying to build a new peace. He never quite got used to his friend's cavalier attitude towards rules, but when WING SABER rejoined the AUTOBOTS for the fight against GALVATRON, no one was more glad to see him than OPTIMUS PRIME. Though he began his life as a timid worker robot with only the most basic weapons systems and armor, constant upgrades and a positive attitude led WING SABER to become one of the great heroes of the POWERLINX BATTLES. Afterward, he chafed under the peaceful and strictly ordered society built by his friend OPTIMUS PRIME, and he left CYBERTRON to find adventure in other parts of the galaxy. Despite his frustration with the AUTOBOTS, however, he sped back to Earth as fast as his hyperdrive-pulse engines would take him when he received their distress signal, and dove headlong into battle against the DECEPTICONS. The power of his combination with OPTIMUS PRIME has turned the tide of battle on more than one occasion. Awesome electronic robot-to-vehicle two-pack comes with two feature-filled figures!
