Could have been so much better if more time had been put into it,

This review is from: Transformers - Decepticons (Video Game)
Unlike the console versions of mega budget feature film video game tie-in, Transformers for the DS has been split into two different games that reflect the warring robot sides. The Decepticon version of Transformers for the DS allows you to play as the evil Megatron and his team of Decepticons as they battle the heroic Autobots on Earth. The best thing about Transformers: Autobots and Decepticons respectively is that you will get a different gaming experience out of both versions, even though there are plenty of mirrored core mechanics to be found as well. First off, you'll notice that the robots themselves look great and are nicely rendered as well. Not to mention that scanning other vehicles is a nice touch, and the open world environments (while limited) are nicely done as well. The overall presentation of Transformers: Decepticons is great, but what really hurts the game is the assortment of bugs and glitches (particularly here with the Decepticons version when playing as one of the fliers) that you'll come across when playing. The game's camera can also be unforgiving, and the environments are lacking in overall detail. Despite all that though, Transformers: Decepticons manages to succeed in the departments it could have easily failed in like so many licensed, movie tie-in video games often do. In that respect alone, Transformers: Decepticons, as well as the Autobots version, are worth checking out for Transformers fans and DS owners alike.

Boys, boys, boys!,

If you have sons you will really appreciate the 1/2 hour of peace and quiet this game provides...Boys aged 7-14 will appreciate the graphics and all the action. Parents will enjoy the (largely) non-violent games and how engaged children are in the stories the game creates. Set a time limit on game playing and let the kids enjoy this one!

A Very Impressive Game,

I Purchased this game because of the high ratings and the supposed "Challenge". I underestimated this game. The Graphics are amazing. The game is pretty challenging. One of my favorite touches is that you can have your own character. I made my Decepticon a Brown and Green attack helicopter and it is totally ausome. The only downside of this game is the camera, it can be extremely unmerciful. This is a highly reccomended game. I don't know where everybody else is getting these glitches, I have played this for 5 hours straight and not 1 glitch. The Decepticon edition has exclusive desert levels which I think are ausome. This is a must buy game for anyone and everyone!!!
