I just got my Bumbleebee in a few days ago, and couldn't be much happier. First off, though, he's from the Generations line of toys, not the movie toy line. Anyways, I'll list the pros, then the cons:Pros - - Robot mode is extremely accurate to the in game character - Transformation isn't too intricate, particularly compared to the RotF line of toys, more on that later. - Alt mode (Cybertronian Courier) is also exactly as in the game, and rolls very well on hard surfaces, and also keeps the look of his G1 Voltswagen Beetle. - Gun storage in both alt and robot mode, so it's hard to lose those extra bits. - Daggers are easily hidden and won't ever fall off. - Very pose able, collectors rejoice. He's a very stable figure and can maintain numerous stances on your shelf. - Also, the joints are designed to pop off if too much pressure is put on the wrong way, this prevents breakage. (They stay on very well, but it's a nice added touch for if a child does it wrong) -Cons - While less intricate than the ROTF line, it's certainly not easy enough to give a 5 year old. - Some back kibble (excess) - Vehicle mode can be slightly daunting to connect each piece to the main body for the first few tries, but it gets much easier after time. If you see this figure I'd certainly recommend picking him up. He's a solid figure and something any Transformers collector would want.

This toy is listed under the 5 years and up category. We bought it for our five year old, and it was immediately clear that it is far, far too difficult for him to transform. It was a hassle for us to get into car shape. I had to watch several online videos of collectors transforming the toy before I could figure it out. It was a giant hassle. This toy might be fun for collectors, but if you are looking for something for a small child, look elsewhere.

First of all, I'd like to point out that this is incorrectly titled. This is from the Transformers Generations toyline, not the movie toyline. This version of Bumblebee is based on his design from the new War for Cybertron video game which comes out on June 22. He looks very impressive in both robot mode and vehicle mode. He is clearly recognizable as G1 Bumblebee and the vehicle mode manages to look Cybertronian while still maintaining the basic shape of a Volkswagen Beetle. The only problem with the this toy is that the transformation is rather difficult and can be a bit frustrating. I would not recommend it for a young child but it is a great toy for collectors.

First, not only is War For Cybertron (WFC)one of the best videogames ever made (definitely the best Transformers game) but I was very glad to see that the WFC toys are made with the same level of quality. This is an extremely good Deluxe class figure. Bumblebee looks very detailed and accurate in both his vehicle and robot mode. His head is very reminescent of his G1 version. For a deluxe class he is a little hard to transform. But his parts are made to safely break away if you make a mistake. Overall I'm very impressed with this figure, I think it does the WFC version of Bumblebee justice. I already own the WFC Optimus and look forward to the other WFC action figures. Keep 'em coming.

My son has several of the Transformers Generations figures and Bumblebee was one of his first robots and is still one of his favorites. He has had Bumblebee for several months now and the few issues we have with Bumblebee are that his shoes tend to fall off quite easily, one of the latches on his back gets stuck making him difficult to transform into a car, and his head tends to pop off during rough play. It was difficult to transform Bumblebee at first, but with each transformation it became easier to do. I transform the figures for my son, as he is too young (pre-k) to transform the figures himself, but I do not mind. I have fun transforming his TG figures. I highly recommend this action figure for Bumblebee fans of all ages. By the way, Toys R Us is having a 2 for $15 sale on the deluxe class Transformers. Target and Walmart sell the TG figures for $9.

I love the design of this figure, but the transformation was really difficult the first time. It took me quite a while to get everything to tab properly into place. I recommend it for adult collectors, but not for young children. Otherwise, it's great.

As I said in the title, the toy itself is a very well designed, highly accurate reproduction of the in-game War for Cybertron Bumblebee. The color scheme matches perfectly and the wrist knives were a welcome feature...That said, I can't be completely satisfied because I have purchased two and both were defective. The first had ball-and-socket shoulder joints that were defective. After about two days of light play and only a couple transformations, the arm was flopping around all over the place. (On a side note, I am thinking that this would have been the case with the second had I kept it long enough to find out...) Anyway, about the second, it was missing two pieces in the legs that helped keep them straight when transformed. Who wants a robot with legs that splay out each time you leave him standing somewhere?! That basically sums up my grievances - the thing has some serious quality issues. The first time, I decided "hey, this is probably a singular thing," and I bought another. This second time, with another defective Bumblebee, I have pretty much decided I am not going to buy another. Still, I don't want to turn this into some rant about Hasbro's pathetic QC, so here is some about the actual toy. As mentioned above, he bears a brilliant resemblance to his virtual counterpart, and I am sure that that will be appreciated by Transformers WfC nerds. In addition, he has a couple nice play functions with the snap out blades and really great poseability. Still, do NOT buy this for a child. He is so complex that even I, who is normally good at these things, had some serious trouble getting him changed, at first. Still, it kinda fits with the whole "Cybertronian" vibe and the excellent vehicle and robot modes make me overlook what would normally seem to be an unnecessarily complex transform. In conclusion, I would say that "yes," this is a good toy (or collectible) and "yes," it will doubtless satisy any transformer fan over 10 years of age. Just buy with extreme caution. If you can, I might actually look and used ones and ask the seller about how their joints have fared. At least you won't be the one stuck with a defective transformer... Til' next time, U.N.

The idea of this toy is awesome. Our twin sons got this for Christmas and we were all excited. My husband had Transformers when he was a child and I grew up watching and playing with my brother's Transformers. This is NOT the same stuff when we were kids. The parts are plastic and not very durable. Pieces were falling off right as we started the first step. As for the written directions, why even have them?! They were incredibly confusing. Manufacturer states this toy is for 5 and up - wrong! This is great for adults who have the time and patience to figure it out. There is no way a child can figure this out by himself. After about twenty minutes, we got it into vehicle mode. And we warned our sons not to take him apart or risk of him never becoming a car again.

This toy is extremely difficult to transform. After a day of transforming for our 5 year old, parts of the toy were already popping off and the shoulder socket had worn till it wouldn't stay in place. Definitely not for the younger ages.
