When I first got this toy, he looked kinda bland. But when I took it out of the package, I fell in love. I now play with it every day.In bird mode the wings and feet are very poseable, making it able to fly, swoop, and stand. Robot mode is also rather poseable. It's energon weapons (two sword-club thingies) combine to form a giant ninja-star (I don't know if I've ever seen a real ninja-star, so I don't know how realistic it is). This guy might not seem so great in the store, but you might be surprised if you buy it.

I just bought this toy and it's great, but in its eagle form, the wings fell off pretty easy. If you ignore that, it is EXCELLENT!

I was more than amazed to see that a toy this small could be that great. When I first saw pictures of Divebomb, I thought that the robot mode looked superb, but I wasn't so sure about the bird. It looked fine on pictures, but no more. That was my opinion until I got it. Upon opening the box, my opinion has changed for the better - instantly! The bird mode is much more than fine: it's awesome. The detailing is surprising for the toy's size - to the point that it beats a bunch of deluxe-sized ones. Many etched/painted details enhance the appearance and make it look wild yet robotic, which you would expect from a Terrorcon. Oh yeah, as often is the case on the Energon line, the head is *hrm* not quite hidden. Look underside and say hello to the small ninja-face greeting you! Only praises to say about posability in bird mode (or robot mode, for that matter; see next paragraph). The wings, being on ball joints, can move in many ways, and you can fold them around the fans at the middle to show/hide the green flames/feathers. The legs' mobility is pretty good too, the nicest touch being the movable heel. You can easily set Divebomb in a dive attack position, true to birds of prey! All in all, the bird mode has very good posability and outstanding looks. Truly nice. Then, the robot mode. It does not disappoint at all. In fact, it more than matched my expectations! The transformation scheme is very original and quite easy to carry out. The figure's detailing is every bit as good as the bird's one, and the face sculpt is simply stunning. Again, posability is surprising for the toy's size, having ball joints at the hips and at the forearms. Add a rotating head to that, plus shoulders that have two articulation points and knees that can bend. The result : many action poses possible, combined with killer looks! As for the weapons, I prefer leaving the bird as is and storing the Energon blades because they are a bit too big, but many people like it anyway. In robot mode, the Energon "ultimate weapon" looks silly, like on most Omnicons/Terrorcons, because of its size. However, having the blades as individual swords gives the toy a striking, mean and beautiful look. They are *just* the right size to fit the small robot, and they look like scimitars. This suits the ninja-themed presentation. I would think the toy to be durable, having a sturdy and simple construction and being molded in what seems to be quality plastic. I put the educationnal factor at 5 stars to give Divebomb a 5 stars overall. I don't think educationnal value is truly what is at stakes here. Whereas, say, Lego's would score a broad 5 on educationnal value, in my opinion, Transformers would score 3.5. But,Transformers are Transformers and this particular one deserves its shiny golden 5 stars for that type of action figure. To conclude :
