This is a fantastic figure... Pretty much everything about it is great... the color scheme is fantastic, the details are awesome (as mentioned in an earlier review, the battle damage is perfect), and it has just enough special features to make it worth the purchase...

if I could find any beef with the figure, its that some aspects of the transformation need to be forced to make them work (folding the arms into the vehicle, for example)... also, the weapons look great, but when they're combined they're, well, monstrously huge (imagine trying to carry a sword as long as a basketball hoop, and you'll know what I'm talking about)...

otherwise, if you must buy one figure out of the first wave of Transformers Energon, Starscream must be that figure... It has the look of the original Starscream from G1, but with enough articulation and special features to make him just that much better

It may just be the newness of the figure, but IMO this is the best toy to bear the name Starscream. It looks great, with molded battle damage resulting from the events at the end of Armada. Since this is a new form for Armada Starscream, there are elements of the Armada design present, but this isn't simply a scaled down version of the earlier toy. It has a different transformation, very reminiscent of the G2 Smokescreen toy (but not identical). It is quite posable; his shoulders are limited a bit because his wings block them, but that's the only problem on that score.The jet mode is detailed and convincing, and both modes hold together well.
Now the features: Starscream has missle launchers concealed in his wings, which can be deployed in either mode. He also has two "Energon weapons" - a gun and a sword, which can be pegged together to make an even larger sword. Unfortunately, the sword is as tall as Starscream himself, and so doesn't quite look right in his hand. A larger figure would look great wielding it, though. Starscream can use any Minicons you picked up from Armada - he has a hardpoint under each wing, which can also be used to mount the gun and sword.
All-in-all, I really like this toy. He's currently on display, making my G1 Starscream look hopelessly outdated. :-)

I just can't make my Starscream turn into a robot, according to the instructions manual I should turn the tail into his arms, but there's no space to do that... I spent 3 hours yesterday trying to do it... it's just immposible for me to do it!!!

Can anyone help me please.

This version of Starscream does look incredibly cool. It is also a surprisingly difficult robot to transform, with many odd twists, turns, and bends necessary. It gives it nice articulation, but troubles in standing up. Also, the weapons are oversized, and the spring-fired missles are in the way and don't shoot like they should. But, overall, a nice figure.

Some of these new TRANSFORMERS are simply outstanding. This is STARSCREAM at his finest. What a great looking DECEPTACON! Everything about him, from his fine detailing to his sharp coloration, just fits. Here's the catch, there is none! For $10 how can you go wrong? Let's see, best STARSCREAM ever/lowest price he's ever been offered for. You do the math!

This is a really neat toy! He transforms well and easily. It's fun to play with. I really like how his weapons combine to make the huge sword. That's really awesome! He has a lot of moveable parts so I can put him in a lot of different poses. I like it a lot. This was an excellent purchase.

now this is a jet !! just look at the amazing detail for such a small transformer his weapon/weapons are soooo cool he is very durible because my brother tried to make him fly down a fleet o stairs (he flew for like 10 seconds )and he didnt break , his robot mode is cool he transforms easily and is not hard to change back you dont even need instructions ,awesome toy must have !! buy this !! nice job hasbro !! This new Starscream is amazing. His resemblance to the original G1 Starscream is awesome, yet he's completely modernized with new features like his missile launchers. The icing on the cake is the incredible posability. After the somewhat disappointing posability of the Armada line of Transformers, I wasn't expecting such an execptionaly posable Starscream. Also, don't listen to the other reviews and their comments on the difficulty transforming the new Starscream. After one or two transformations anyone could get the hang of it. Finally, while it would be hard for any figure to surpass the legendary G1 Starsream, this is the figure with that potential. Let's just hope that the new Rodimus figure is as suitable a tribute to the original Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime as the new Starscream is to his orginal figure.

THIS IS THE BEST ENERGON DELUXE FIGURE YET. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS TOY IS GREAT. ENOUGH SAID ABOUT THAT. JUST GO OUT AND BUY IT.

Starscream returns for the Energon line in a whole new form. An F/A-22 Raptor, Starscream is an interesting deluxe toy to come out. He comes with a large rifle and blade, which can combine into one massive sword. Starscream has elements of both his G1 and Armada forms. What is most interesting is his tech specs, include with the toy. Several categories have either a question mark or N/A, perhaps indicating his nature in Energon, as he was destroyed in Armada (both the TV series and the comics). Overall, a must have.
