This is probably, outside of the upcoming G1-Style Optimus Prime repaint, the best of the G1 repaints. Jazz looks close enough to his original form that the new paint applications look pretty smooth. While silver is classy, the white with blue and red racing stripes is a lot more noticeable, and that's what Jazz is all about. Transforms like a dream, though one has to be careful when transforming his torso - the front grill is part of his "automorph" gimmick, so trying to hold onto it while transforming him isn't the greatest of ideas.

The one thing this toy lacks is quality in the paint used. I've noticed a number of the movie-based Transformers toys use a type of paint that flecks off easily, and that's really a shame, since some of those details just can't be repainted. Still, it's a worthwhile purchase, especially for close-to-retail prices (seriously, the stores are sold OUT). Fun for kids, adult fans of the movie, and fans who wished the designs were more... "classic."

This is the new movie style Jazz figure with a color scheme akin to G1 Jazz. I think the color scheme works decently on this figure. The figure itself shines in some areas and lacks a little in others. The legs are sturdy and thick, providing good support. The arms are a bit lackluster with limited movement from side to side and the forearm being somewhat flimsy. The weapon is large in proportion to the figure but is simple and works well. The transformation is complicated at first but you get the hang of it quickly. The car mode is nice and has a good solid feel. Overall I recommend any of the Jazz movie figures for the kid or the collector.

Really cool Transformer car with the special paint styling. The car looks great. Hard to get because of the Target exclusive, but well worth it.
