4.0 out of 5 stars Adorable!, January 20, 2009

When I saw these little critters in my local comic book shop, I confess that the sound that emerged from me is normally found in the proximity of eleven-year-old girls presented with a basket of puppies. Ridiculously cute. They're slightly less SD and more chibi-style figures.

For Starscream (to give example of limited mobility) only the arms move, and only up and down. But hey, I have an imagination, so I've had him a) giving me a high-five b)bowing in worship before me c) praying to Mecca and d) doing a handstand.

Compared to regular Transformers figures, this limited mobility and chunky proportion can be good--figures are sturdy as heck. Those of you who complain (rightly) that some Transformers can pop off limbs (or, say, their entire lower body) will not have that problem with these.

They're aimed at small kids, but are perfect little desk accessories/tuck ins for slightly older fans (I snuck Bumblebee into my schnookums's briefcase). Low mobility, yes, but high sturdiness and off the charts cuteness factor.

3.0 out of 5 stars Transformers Robot Heroes Movie series figures, December 28, 2007
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Transformers: Robot Heroes > Armor Bumblebee And Starscream Action Figure Multipack (Toy)
My 5 year old son got this for Christmas and he has quite an imagination which is the plus side for the figures he got. He has fun with them and makes up stories and loves to play with them. Luckily he isn't picky about the toys and can make lots of fun using his imatination as they do not move much at all.

The figures we got in the sets were:
Armor Bumblebee/Starscream & Optimus Prime/Scorponok.

We adults were very disappointed in the fact that the "biggest" figure was Optimus Prime at a "whopping" - sit down for this - 2 1/2" tall by 1 1/2" wide - maximum size giving Optimus a little extra stretch :( . The other figures were even smaller than that. They didn't quite reach the 2 1/2" tall mark on the flexible tape measure.

I would appreciate some mention of the sizes of the figures on the amazon sites so we can know what we are actually getting. NOT much Information on the figures. Very deceptive when looking at the figures and not a real size listing. I suppose it isn't so much as misinformation as there wasn't much information listed. Size would be nice to include for the figures.

I had seen some transformer figures in the stores, but they didn't have much of a selection. My son wanted Bumblebee and Optimus Prime and they didn't have them in the stores around our area. I thought they were going to be at least 5" tall and have a little more movement in them. My mom got the figures as I told her that is what my son would like, and she was very disappointed in the product also.

The figures are very sturdy as they are a solid plastic with only the arms moving. The one arm on the figures will move completely in a circle and the other only a little bit up and down. Bumblebee is holding the allspark so the arm holding it barely moves at all. So both arms on the different figures do not both move completely in a circle. The head and legs and body do not move at all. They are molded plastic solid pieces.

We were wanting a "reasonably priced" transformer that actually transformed that we wouldn't have to spend a fortune on. The ones that are $60 - $100 do not have much information about them either.

It is hard to buy on-line sometimes as the products can be very misleading when there isn't much information. I looked at Bumblebee to find one that transformed from car to transformer, and it didn't say if it did or not on them. I hate to buy something that expensive without knowing if it will transform or not.

So there is the size information about the Robot Heroes Movie Series figures of the transfomers. They do not fall apart at least. HA HA I think for their size, they are a bit pricy. They are also made in China which I hope they are safe for all children. WHo knows what is put into the toys there. No real regulations. SCARY! That about sums it up. Will I buy them..... I doubt it. We tried to only buy USA toys personally but hard to find in the TOYS department.
