5.0 out of 5 stars The Real Ultimate Bumblebee
Bumblebee is arguably the most popular Transformer behind Optimus Prime. Even Megatron (at least these days) doesn't hold a candle. 3.0 out of 5 stars Fun toy but not durable - lasted two weeks
My 5-year-old son received this Transformer as a gift, and he was thrilled with it, until it snapped in half near the back of a front fender (after only two weeks of play time). Now the toy is unusable. We are very disappointed, as he loved playing with Bumblebee and Sam. My son has lots of other Transformers, and he does not play roughly with them. It's a shame that...

Bumblebee is arguably the most popular Transformer behind Optimus Prime. Even Megatron (at least these days) doesn't hold a candle. We've seen many different versions of this Autobot so how does this one stand up? **Note: This is NOT the deluxe version of Bumble that sells for less than ten bucks. This is the Human Alliance Bumblebee - an altogether bigger and higher quality toy. **

For Kids:
In either robot or vehicle mode this is a quality toy with lots of detail and fun to play with. The inclusion of the Sam Witwicky action figure is a bonus for kids as well. I'm far from a kid (on the outside) these days but I remember loving the G1 transformers and the little action figure you could put inside - pretending you're that little guy with a big robot pal. The human factor is often forgotten these days. The main downside for kids is that the transformation is hard and like many of these movie transformers there are probably many kids who wouldn't have the patience for it.

For Adults:
Again, this is a bigger more detailed version. The car is top notch and while the interior could have more detail that it has an interior at all is a bonus considering that's a first for this line. This human alliance Bumblebee is almost twice the size of the deluxe version and a lot of that additional detail shows in the clear windows and seats, steering wheel and interior of the car.

In robot mode, words may not be able to describe it (I'll try to have some pics up). There is so much detail in this guy that I'd compare to the new Leader Class Optimus Prime as far as screen accuracy. Let's just say that this is the best representation of movie Bumblebee I've ever seen and I own the huge Ultimate Bumblebee... He's got the most accurate head sculpt and includes the battle mask that no other version I own does! Despite initial misgivings I found that the seats were well hidden in robot mode (they're out there but placed in such a way as to be unobtrusive). The back bumpers become the knee caps and another first (aside from the battle mask) the chest actually has two rotating sections to make the "tilted" look of his "pecks". Even that his right hand is a blaster does not make a big difference as it is so well done (and believe me, I've been upset by that blaster hand in many versions - why not a rotatable hand / weapon?) and looks so good.

His articulation is off the charts too. Tranformers have good articulation and this guy has great! I can't think of a pose I can't get him into (31 points at least). Flip his battle mask up or down, place his missiles where you want, he looks good.

For adult collectors the additional 2.5" Sam figure is not such a great deal. Sure he's there and sure he's pretty well areticulted but you have a giant robot to deal with. It should be said though that the robot has several options to carry the human - in his hand, on his shoulder or in his seat. That may be fun for you or the kids.

Maybe 30 plus dollars seems like a lot but maybe not once you get your hands on him. Transform and roll out with this Bumblebee. He's great and puts past versions to shame. His transformation is challenging but rewarding.

I have bought several transformers for my Grandson over the last few years. This by far was the best made of them all. It also was the biggest hit at his birthday party. You should have a big run on these after all those little boys got a chance to play with it.

I was skeptical after the Deluxe Bumblebee version but in my opinion this is the best one ever. Robot mode is perfect. Good proportions with no awkward stuff hanging out anywhere. Great detail throughout with little gears and hydraulic details molded in. I have over a dozen transformers including many Alternators and this has to be my favorite. Way better than the deluxe version and even better than the Ultimate Bumblebee. Just a really well done robot mode with tons of pose-ability, I can't say enough. Transformation is fun and with lots of intricacies but not too difficult. Everything snaps together well. Car mode is very cool with nice details like clear windows on the exterior and a steering wheel and dashboard in the interior. The only gripes might be that the seats on his arms for Sam are kind of corny, but I just flip them to the bottom and out of the way. The only thing Hasbro can do to outdo this is to make a Leader class Bumblebee, but maybe it's better not to mess with perfection. Grab it!

Human Alliance Bumblebee is the best! This is the voyager size version of Bumblebee that everyone has wanted and it more than lives up to expectations. The detail on Bee is amazing with robot and camaro mode being so realistic you would think it came right out of the screen. The camaro mode is sleek with no clutter underneath while having intricate detail from the chevy symbol and headlights on the front to the gas tank and tail lights on the back.In robot mode Bumblebee has great articulation in the legs, arms, body, and head piece.Bumblebee comes with awesome features as well like launching plasma missiles and flip out cannons. The missiles can be stored underneath while in camaro mode or in holders under the forearm in robot mode.Bumblebee comes with his trusted companion Sam who can ride on Bee's arm or man the shoulder cannons in robot mode while fitting securely in the driver seat in camaro mode. The poseability of Bumblebee is outstanding with great stability for creating unique battle poses or displaying this gem where you please. The durability is excellent as well with secure joints and a solid build in either robot or camaro mode. The transformation level is advanced meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is mid-level difficulty. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you will have to help some in the process.Bumblebee can be challenging for the younger ages, but if you have time to learn the process Bumblebee is well worth it.Start off by pulling out on the front headlights then lift them upwards so they are slanted. The doors then swing out as the front wheels do the same thing so the wheels are resting on the doors. The piece underneath in the front flips outwards next. The driver seat piece then rotates down and rotates around as the hand flips out.The same process is done for the passenger seat piece. The back section then seperates from the back window as the piece in front of the rear wheel rotates inward to rest on the leg.The arm piece moves upwards as the tail light sections are rotated around. The feet then flip out as the pegs on the back seperate to form a v-shape for better stability. The legs then rotate around so the tail light pieces are resting on the front of the leg.Next rotate the torso section down as you do the same with the front camaro piece/chest.The head piece is then revealed as the torso and chest poiece connect together. The missile holders rotate inwards to be on the inside of the arm and the back window piece folds up onto the roof. This section rest on the back of Bumblebee.Bumblebee is now ready to kick some decepticon ass! This Bumblebee started the tread of great transformers in this line of figures and along with the Dark of the Moon Stealth Bumblebee you have two of the top transformers in the entire Human Alliance along with Roadbuster.Bottom line Bumblebee is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 transformer all fans will treasure.I highly recommend Human Alliance Bumblebee to all transformer fans and collectors out there.Bumblebee Rocks and Transformers Rule!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Bumblebee Yet, February 10, 2010

This is a truly awesome transformer. Bumblebee's vehicle mode is a yellow 2010 Chevy Camaro. He rolls beautifully, and he even has seats inside so Sam can ride in him. I have had no problems with this toy at all, just fun. The robot mode looks like a million dollars. His head, (compared to earlier versions) is very accurate. His eyes can glow when they are in front of a light source, which makes Bumblebee come alive! His feet aren't exactly like they are in the movie, but he can stand with no support in certain positions. His arm cannon functions well, and looks sweet too. I highly recommend this toy!

I'm wondering if this toy is truly for adults only. Many seem happy with it for their kids but reviewed the product just out of the package or shortly thereafter. I want to buy it for my 5 year old grandson but am scared now that as he's a child, it may only last several weeks. Anyone own this for any length of time with a child and not have it break?
