This toy is a lot of fun but it should be noted that it is not a transforming figure.

I have been looking for an Optimus Prime that talks frequently - this Prime does that and more - he does transform in the fact that when you push his gold emblem down in the middle, his wings will flip out to the side (thanks Jetfire, awww ^_^), and light up, follwed by Jet sounds, and he'll talk as well. His eyes light up too, as well as his cannon. He also continues to talk as you fly him around - Kids will love this, for the fact that he makes air jet sounds, and talks - he even has a handle that you can hold him with while he flies around the room, and will continue to talk until you land him. And when he lands he also talks. When you want to 'deploy' or push in his wings, he also alerts you by making a transforming sound. Optimus is very alert. Love this figure. Peter does his voice for this figure too, it's super cute! Found it at Wally World for a Roll-back price ^_^. He fits in perfectly with my Autobot collection! I'm 28 years old, and find myself flying this toy around like I'm a little kid again.

I gotta tell you- this Optimus Prime Power Bot is really cool. When I received it I wanted to take it out of the packaging and play with it before wrapping it up for Christmas! Great sound effects that are clear and easy to understand (and as with all toys that make sounds I am sure will get annoying after a while). This isn't a "transforming" bot but it is positionable. Looks durable so far but haven't had it that long so I really can't make any comments on long-term durability but will update this review if that changes. The eyes light up, the jets light up, and I got to tell you this toy is sweet! It even comes with it's own batteries! (3 AAA's) While having the toy come with batteries or not isn't necessarily a deal breaker, it does make gift giving and immediate usability much easier for everyone.

3/15 Update: I gave this toy to a 4 year old boy for Christmas and he has held up! Wings still pop out, he still lights up and makes sounds (although batteries are starting to get low I'm sure) and has held up to a lot of rough play over the past 3+ months! Quickly became the boy's favorite toy. I know 3 months doesn't sound long but for all the throwing and physical bashing this toy has received I was pretty impressed!

My 4 year old son has all the Mega Power Bots. He loves playing with these rugged toys. He smashes, crashes and fights them together and they can take it. I like Jet Power Optimus Prime, he is just awsome.

My kid loves this thing! The only complaint is that the wings don't stay up after a little while... little limp on one side.

My son watched reviews on this toy on Youtube. He decided that he wanted this toy for his 6th birthday. He is very happy with his choice. This doesn't transform and he knew that it wouldn't. He has others that do. He loves the sound effects and the pop out wings. I love that it is sturdy.

Bot has moving parts with a "handle" in the back that allows child to assist in "flying" the Bot around. Bot recites a few lines and makes laser-shooting sounds that are quite loud & after awhile, become irritating to adults. 4 & 5 yr old grandsons played incessantly with this toy on Christmas, so it was a hit. Seems well made. Forces child to use their imagination when playing with this type of toy, and is lots of fun for multiple children if they each have their own "Bot".

This toy is awesome. Worth the money. My 5 yea-old loves this toy! akes it every where. I am very pleased with my purchase.

This was a Christmas gift for my nephew. Even the grownups played with it. He immediately flew it around. Assembly was easy (very few pieces). Came with batteries. He didn't wait for directions; how to operate it is pretty obvious. The phrases the toy says are awesome! Lots of phrases. Voice is loud and clear and accompanied by sword and gunfire sounds. Sword and gunfire sounds are great and varied. Everyone loved this one. I was concerned about the "wings" swinging out. It seemed awkward to flip out, but my nephew never complained. The toy is also bigger than I expected which was a nice surprise. I was told days later that this was his favorite Christmas gift...and he got good ones.

Gave this to my 5-year-old grandson for his birthday. It was his favorite gift. Though it doesn't transform, it's totally cool looking and makes lots of great action noises.
