Grindor like Blackout has the same vehicle mode and helicoptor mode. What makes Grindor more attractive is the figures robot mode excellent for display and cool gimmicks to mess around with.This figure is excellent for the shelf of a collector or a kid although transformation maybe be a little tedious at first it's alot of fun and can turn out to be a joy. I reccomend this to anyone.

I've always liked blackout and transformers that were arail. So I thought why not get his brother. Grindor is a great toy but a bit hard to transform at some parts but once you do it once you get the hang of it. Grindor also has a mini skorponok that attaches to or clips in I should say to his compartmaent in the back of him. You can also open him in robot mode. Also if you push a lever in the back of the helicopter his blades spin wich is pretty cool. Also in robot mode you can take hisbackpack off and convert the baldes into a weapon and it spins like in the helicopter mode. Another cool attachment is if you have a skorponok you can connect him on the bottom of Grindor.
Articulation Grindors head can move left and right but not much.his arms do go in and out. They spin up and down but its hindered by the armor. His arms do spin 360 degrees at the upper arm and bend at the elbow. His legs do go in and out they go forward and back they bend at the knee. Also the feet can pivot.

Overall this guy deserves a ten out of ten. I say if your a huge transfomer fan or if your in need of a cool masterpeice (toy) I say get him. But make sure you can transform him first.

Grindor is one badass decepticon with the firepower to back it up!Grindor can take out any autobot from a distance or chop them to pieces in up close confrontations.I have both versions of Blackout and his brother Grindor is just as awesome.The detail in robot or the sweet Sikorsky Pave Low Helicopter mode is outstanding.In vehicle mode Grindor has spinning rotor blades that you control with the push of a button that is near the back rotor blade to make it more realistic while also having his own scorponok mini-figure that can be held in an underside cargo hold to unleash on enemies at will.Grindor's rotor blades can dettach to be used as a weapon in robot form just like in the movie for even more realism.The poseability is excellent just like Blackout for displaying or creating whatever battle scene comes to mind.The durability is an A++ all around.Grindor is a very solid figure in every way.The transformation level is advanced meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is mid-level difficulty.If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you will probably have to help some in the process.With some practice and patience all ages should be able to get the hang of it.If you are a fan of Blackout from the first movie then this is a must have to keep the brothers together and have another gem of a transformer.Bottom line Grindor is a high quality,well-made,10 out of 10 figure all transformer fans should treasure.I highly recommend Grindor to all transformer fans and collectors alike.Transformers Rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently purchased this toy from a K-mart for 24.99. I own many transformers, and have never been dissapointed. Grindor's helicopter mode is realistic and looks cool. The overall look of the toy is great. But as a transformer collector, I must say that Grindor's transformation is one of the hardest I've seen. The directions were not very detailed, and the parts just don't fit together that well. If this is your first transformer, you will need to be very patient with the transformation. However, the great vehicle mode was still enough for me to appreciate him.

Pros: Vehicle mode is very detailed. There is a button you can push to make his helecopter blades spin, which is a nice for playing. Scorponok, deluxe class or mini, can attach to him. (In helicopter mode, Grindor has a release hatch on his underside to release mini Scorponok into battle. I found that the hatch drops open randomly because the locking mechanism is loose.)

Cons: The transformation is very difficult, resulting in a O.K. robot mode. The head mold is lacking.

Would I recomend this to a friend? Most likely not, unless they like Grindor. Unless you are a collector, paying over 25 dollars for this is a bit too much. The durability of this toy is not quite as good as the other transformers I own. During the tranformation several pieces came off. Luckily they snapped back on without much trouble. Overall this toy is about a 3 1/2 star.

I am letting my son rate this. Here is what he has to say about it: This is a great toy. It is very cool. This helicoptor mode is modeled to look like a secorski MH53 Pave Lowe II. A few of the things I like about it are that if you press a button at the end, a mini scorpioc falls out. There is also another button on the back that when you press it, the proppellor blades spin and when it is in it's robot mode, you can take his blades off and use them as a saw blade, like in the movie. This toy is very, very, very recommended!

This transformer was my son's favorite. He was four at the time of purchase and wasn't too careful when dealing with it but it took a really good beating. It's still in great condition and on display in his bedroom. I received the item on time and in new condition...

Number one: Superb detail on this repainted 'blackout'. My goal with this purchase was solely for something nice to set up on my shelf and this figure provides exactly that. The detail built into this guy is amazing. The helicopter mode looks like the real thing and the robot mode is straight from the movie! Very accurate recreation. It doesn't feel like a toy that would last too long in the hands of a child like I was, but on the shelf it's my crown jewel.

WOW this toy was the worst one I've had. Its terrible in robot mode, but the helicopter mode is cool. I wanted this more as a robot but since the robot mode sucks, Im trying to get a refund and get the tank. Take me seriously! do not get this toy for a little one! I think you should go with the [...] one if your daring.
