with Transformers: Revenge of the fallen coming to theaters later this month..i like others were excited to hear that Soundwave the Decepticon Communicator, and megatron's head Intelligence officer will be making his big screen debut.

when i first saw spy pics of Soundwave in january i was shocked..the design was a radical departure from the tape deck character we all know. But, this design works for the film..his disguise is a communications satellite. in short Soundwave rocks! lots of detail here.

he is one Devilish looking decepticon the design retains his G1 style head(great touch takara/hasbro !) the color scheme is reminiscent of his g1 days also. he is quite poseable and is well built...i like his claws and his arms they wanted the movie transformers to look totally alien, and they succeded..

he also comes with ravage that launches from him ( ala g1 days) ravage as you know is the cassette Kitty that is loyal to soundwave..however hes not transformable...perhaps a later version will have a transformable one because hes in the film. mabey laserbeak too? one can only hope:)

Soundwave, is one of my favorite Decepticons, and i think they did a nice job on him..hes worth getting. like Optimus prime, hes hard to get..i went to 2 stores before i landed 2 of him (one to open and one to keep sealed in the package)

pros: its soundwave!
good articulation
movie accurate detail in all modes

cons: ravage is non transformable (they probably did this to keep the price lower)

if you can find soundwave, grab him..hes worth checking out. (hope they keep his cool monotonic voice for the movie, like prime's the voice is classic)

keep this one away from little Johnny, hes a bit fragile and you know how kids are careless sometimes...these are made for the collector and rightfully so..

Soundwave returns better than ever!This version of soundwave is beyond awesome,I mean the detail on the figure is outstanding.They have given Soundwave one sweet upgrade from the G1 series,but still kept the original concept with having the Ravage projectile.Soundwave has 3 modes satellite,voyager cruiser,and robot.The only mode you see him as in the movie is the satellite which they did an excellent job on.The cruiser mode is very detailed and realistic.The robot mode is my favorite though,the detail and poseability is the best.Soundwave is as durable as they come as well.The transformation is advanced,so if you have plenty of experience with transformers the process is not that difficult.If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 you might have to help them out some.Bottom line Soundwave is a high quality,well-made,10 out of 10 figure.I highly recommend Soundwave to all transformer fans out there.Transformers Rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great toy to add to your collection of Transformers.

I hope they make a LeaderShip version of SoundWave.

Ordered this for my son. He was very happy with it and hasn't broken it. Can't ask for much more than that.
It shipped quickly and was exactly as ordered.

Kids like these and my nephew was delighted with it. But he had problems with one part continually coming off. It didn't bother him as he said they are easy to put back together. So yes, I was pleased with this except that by description I thought it was bigger than it was - my mistake though as I learned.

I only have a few miner gripes w/ this toy. 1 i thought it should be a Voyager size toy, *like Ironhide, Starscream etc* but whatever. I wish he had more secure snaps or hooks to hold things in place better. but other then that i like that fact that he's a satillite more then a mass-shifting 30 ft robot, and a 15inch boombox.

I picked up the new Soundwave and was quite surprised by how much I enjoy this figure. Its robot mode is awesome allowing for some pieces to be moved around to create interesting poses, The flight and satellite are mostly the same but still looking good the missile on his back I assume represents the same missile he fired in the movie which was a entry pod for ravage has a cool detailed look about it.

As a collector of transformers (just starting out) this is a pretty good Soundwave. I would suggest all collectors and fans of transformers to pick it up.

I went to my local Toys R Us and today, we have ROTF in stock. I got this guy and legends class Bumblebee. I was looking forward to this guy since I first saw him. The only real complaint I have is that the ball hinge on one of his legs is looser than the other. But very minor. I wanted to get FAB Skids, but they didn't have him. I recomend this.

I have fun with my soundwave.Instructions are easy to follow and it really look like a satelite.

He is 7 and loves it. It took him and dad to figure it out but they had fun doing so.
