4.0 out of 5 stars Fun yet Complicated and Semi-Fragile
We just bought this for my 5 year old son who regularly puts together lego sets without assistance. As my husband tried to follow the instructions to show my son how it works, the toy came apart twice. It is very complicated. My son LOVES it, but it is too difficult for him to transform by himself without breaking it. The engineering is impressive. It is durable when...

I was disappointed when my son unwrapped this toy from the box. The parts are all flimsy and hard to put together. What happened to the metal Transformers from when I was little? This thin plastic stuff is pathetic. Needless to say, he played with it for 10 min and hasn't touched it since.

and pieces of Bumblebee keep coming off while doing the transformation. You have to read the directions and a child cannot do this on their own without tons of practice...also item is small

I pre-ordered this for Christmas for my 5 yr old. It's now showing as $24.99?! What's up with that? It's an okay toy - but not worth that price.

It is impossible for a 5 yr old to get bumblebee back into car form. It was for mine anyways. He's relatively patient and persistent but he finally just handed it off to me with a hopeful look in his eye. It took me awhile too let me tell you. I almost didnt want to give it back to him after all that effort. For those who enjoy puzzles and a little challenge it's great. For the kids that just want to play with them - it can be a little aggravting. The switch from car to transformer is pretty quick - but back the other way...? Not so much.

It is durable when it is fully transformed, but during the process it is easy to break pieces apart.

Great toy hard to figure out to convert the frist time.
Looks great a little over priced for what you get. Parts tend to fall off. overall fun

My grandson loved this toy. Apparently this Bumble Bee toy is hard to get in the stores and even when searching through Amazon it was difficult to make a choice.

By sheer luck I selected this one out of all the products listed and my grandson (and my son) found it 'totally rad', whatever that means.

The price is right and the toy is a nice size for little fingers.
