Most cellular telephones get bogged down with needless features - text messages! Internet access! Vengaboys ringtones! Cameras with video-recording capabilities! The ability to have a conversation!

Wisely, Hasbro sidestepped the bells, whistles, and goo-gaws traditionally attached to the purchase of a cellular telephone and focused on what the consumer truly wants:
