Based on Hasbro's legendary Transformers property and one of the most anticipated films of 2009 from Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Decepticons thrusts Nintendo DS players into a battle for supremacy across the globe in the Decepticons cause as they drive, fly, fight and blast their way through intense, pressure-packed levels.
Set a few years after the defeat of Megatron in the first game/movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Decepticons reveals that the threat from the Decepticons is in fact, far from ended. Since the time of the epic and apparently not so final battle between the two Transformer leaders, Decepticons have started popping up again all over Earth in alarming numbers. And now, a mysterious object from space seems destined to shift the balance of power and give the upper hand to the Decepticons. Mission-centric Gameplay Gameplay in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Decepticons is structured around varied mission play. The variety in these missions comes from the fact that the available play options both parallel the events of the movie at times, as well as focus on events unique to the game. During these missions players will be able to play as a variety of different Transformers, and with success in mission play will be able to unlock additional Transformers and earn points used to upgrade their selected faction. Playable characters include: Starscream, Grindor, Long Haul, and Megatron. In addition, the game features a simple control toggle that not only allows for quick switching between mech, vehicle and weapon forms, but also allows for a more easy learning curve of the acrobatic moves from the movie. Transformers Revenge of the Fallen DS Decepticons Review,

To start out with, the game does not have the greatest graphics. So if your looking for a ROTF game with excellent graphics, then this is not the game to buy, but what would you expect, its a handheld game. The graphics are good enough. Unlike the PS2 or Wii games you are able to transform whenever you want. The game has 25 levels in the game and they are fairly easy. You do get to create your own character at the beginning and you can choose light, medium, or heavy vehicle body. Overall, I would give it a 9.5/10 for gaming and a 7.5/10 for graphics. The game is nice although I would have like the game to have Autobots and Decepticons in the same game. Oh I almost forgot, most of the game you will be playing as your own character so chose wisely about the light, medium, or heavy. Rating....80/100

Better than most of the console versions,

Just like the last time around, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen gets released on the DS in two versions; the heroic Autobots and the villainous Decepticons. The Decepticons version of the game finds you playing as the usual cast of characters like Megatron and Starscream, taking down foes and pretty much whatever else you'd expect to do here. Happily, Revenge of the Fallen on the DS (either version) is better than the last Transformers offering to hit Nintendo's handheld, and in all honesty, is better than most of the console versions of the game that have been released. The game looks decent despite some muddy visuals, it controls well, and though you are more restricted in terms of exploration and overall gameplay than you were the last time around, it surprisingly ends up working out in the game's favor. While the game itself is pretty short, the local Wi-Fi multiplayer and Battle for Earth mode can be pretty fun on their own. All in all, if you're a Transformers fan, own a DS, and felt burned by the console versions of the game, give either the Autobots or Decepticons versions of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen a try at the least.

It's me, Lorenzo! The first review as an member (see my others with the ending "Jean's son")is the ROTF game for decepticons. At first I did not like it for the NO free roam but it got off my nerves. You face off 3 main autobots-- Bee, Ironhide, and Optimus Prime as your drone. There is no character select but there is multiplayer and I'd tease my friend in North Carolina when I'd freeze his 'con. And when in New York battle don't kill the last heavy drone and lure him into the battle with Ironhide and don't kill the heavy drone and you'll see what happens. Good game but wish some more impressive gameplay was in it.
