3.0 out of 5 stars Average At Best
Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen-The Album

The Transformers soundtrack is average at best, there's nothing in the CD that really jumps out at you. The only song I would say that even gives that is Cavo's Let it Go. For some reason I just can't stop listening to it.

The listing on the CD goes:
1. Linkin Park- New Divide
2. Green...

I really love this soundtrack. The CD is amazing, the songs are awesome because they come from great artists. My favourite songs are: LINKIN' PARK New divide; GREEN DAY 21 guns; CAVO Let it go; TAKING BACK SUNDAY Capital m-e; NICKELBACK Burn it to the ground; THE USED Burning down the house; THEORY OF A DEADMAN Not meant to be; THE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS Real world: HOOBASTANK I don't think I love you; STAINO This is it.
The movie "Revenge of the fallen" is ok, but the first one, "Transformers the movie" is much better.

3.0 out of 5 stars Average At Best, June 28, 2009

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen-The Album

The Transformers soundtrack is average at best, there's nothing in the CD that really jumps out at you. The only song I would say that even gives that is Cavo's Let it Go. For some reason I just can't stop listening to it.

The listing on the CD goes:
1. Linkin Park- New Divide
2. Green Day- 21 Guns
3. Cavo- Let It Go
4. Taking Back Sunday- Capital M-E
5. The Fray- Never Say Never
6. Nickelback- Burn it to the Ground
7. The Used- Burning Down The House
8. Theory of a Deadman- Not Meant To Be
9. The All-American Rejects- Real World
10. Hoobastank- I don't think I Love You
11. Staind- This Is It
12. Avenged Sevenfold- Almost Easy
13. Cheap Trick- Transformers Theme

Linkin Park New Divide is very similar to What I've Done. It's still a solid song by one of the best bands out there and it is debateable whether Cavo's Let It Go or Linkin Park's New Divide is the best song on the CD.

Green Day's 21 Guns either you're going to love it or hate it it just isn't a typical Green Day song.

Cavo's as I stated earlier it is in the running for the best song on the album. I like the lead singer's voice a lot and it also has pretty good lyrics.

Taking Back Sunday Capital M-E is a good song and shows why they have been around awhile, although it is a good song it isn't their best work done on a Soundtrack. It doesn't come close to This Photograph Is Proof from the Spiderman Soundtrack.

Never Say Never: If it wasn't for Let it Go and New Divide this would easily be the best song on the album. In my opinion this is the best song by the The Fray. It has a guital solo, beautiful piano playing, and of course Isaac Slade's voice.

Nickelback's Burn it to the Ground is pretty good. It is harder than most of their other stuff. Again though it doesn't compare to other soundtracks such as Spiderman with Hero (even though it was only Chad Kroeger singing with Josie Scott) and Learn The Hard Way from the Daredevil Soundtrack.

The Used Burning Down the House is an ok song it isn't going to stand out on its own.

Theory of a Deadman Not Meant To Be, while I like Theory of a Deadman I'm not sure if the song actually fits on the soundtrack. Don't get me wrong it is a good song if you're listening to Scars and Souvenirs which was Theory of a Deadman's album that came out recently, but on the soundtrack I'm not quite sure where it belongs.

The All-American Rejects Real World the song is one of the better songs on the soundtrack. Real World has a good beat and it also is one of the band's better songs.

Hoobastank I Don't Think I Love You is also a decent song it isn't going to wow anyone, but it isn't horrible.

Staind This Is It the song itself I'm curious too see why it was put on the album. It is a great song and is probably the third best song on the soundtrack. The question though is does it mix well with the soundtrack? I don't think it strengthens the soundtrack, the song stands out on its own.

That's what the other two songs I mentioned Let It Go and New Divide have.

Avenged Sevenfold Almost Easy is a solid song and mixes well with the other songs on the album. Like Green Day's 21 Guns it is also a song that will either hated or liked.

Cheap Trick Transformers Theme (The Fallen Remix) is ok. I've never listened to the whole song it just isn't one that I'd enjoy listening to, but maybe liked by others.

Though the album boasts of quite a variety of numbers, the album fails to leave an everlasting impression... Can be max rated as just OK...

I am a BIG Transformers movies fan. I love both the soundtracks for their movies. This one is awesome. It really brings you back into the movie when you hear the different tracks. A MUST for die-hard Transformers fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's addicting!, September 10, 2009
I can't stop playing this. Both this album and the score for "The Transformers" first movie, are fantastic!

I found out just how much I listen to this in the short time I've had it, because I've received an email from the Zune network that I'm a Bronze listener of Steve Jablonsky.

I'm a huge fan of Hans Zimmer's scores and it seems he and Steve Jablonsky are colleagues. They both write the same type of scores that I love, one's with great melodies and a strong masculine sound.

In a word, "outstanding"!
