I just want to lay some ground work and say that I loved the Cybertron games. They weren't the prettiest things in the world but the gameplay was great.

But, if anyone has played the previous Transformers game based on one of the movies, this is more of the same. Lazy, terrible graphics, poor controls, and a ridiculous difficulty spike in the second mission. Also, the voice acting is pretty bad, I continuously hear the enemies spouting the same phrases time and time again.

The gameplay just feels clunky. Between twitchy controls, awful land vehicle mode, and pretty dumb and ruthless AI.... this game pretty much lost all it had in its favor. I've gotten stuck on invisible barriers multiple times in the two hours I've played it. And getting hung up against a wall is very common as well. The gunplay is okay, but not as good as past Cybertron games due to awful hit detection.

In the graphics department.... what is this??? It looks like an early gen PS3 game (at best). The wall and floor textures are the ugliest thing I've seen in a game in years. And the vehicles you transform into? Yeah, they're pretty bad too.

The first level is almost like playing a children's game. Go here, shoot these guys, pretty easy. Level 2.... RAGE MODE. There are these little floating bots that shoot red laser beams that can kill you in seconds. I just dont understand what they were going for here. The little bit of fun I was forcing myself to have with the game was immediately stripped away when I encountered these things. After 6 attempts, I'm done. I'm gonna see what my local BB's return policy is or I'll throw it up on ebay. Hopefully I can salvage $30 from this scrap heap.

DO NOT BUY! Rent this game if you're curious. I wouldn't even recommend it for Transformers fans.

Quite possibly one of the worst games i have played in very a long time. I pre-ordered Rise of the Dark Spark thinking that it would be like its predecessors. Fall of Cybertron was a great game that was a lot of fun. Rise of the Dark Spark on the other hand is a complete joke! It shouldn't even be called a game, it should be called digital garbage.

The fact that Activision is charging customers $60 bucks for it is downright theft. Everything about this game is terrible. The graphics are atrocious. Somehow they managed to make the graphics worse, it looks like a PS2 game. This game is beyond broken, the game isn't just terrible, it is literally broken, it is full of glitches and bugs, many of which are game-breaking.

Campaign Mode is extremely boring and tedious, kill 20 robots, advance, kill another 20 robots, advance, and do that over and over again, that is it. Online Mode is just Horde Mode, yes that's it, there's nothing else. There is no PlayerVSPlayer Multiplayer. Why oh why did they have to remove PVP? It was one of the best things of Fall of Cybertron, yet in their infinite wisdom they decided to remove the fun aspects of the game, add a ton of bugs/glitches, decided to downgrade the graphics so much that it would look like a PS2 game, and on top of that add a bunch of stuff that would be considered trash.

Look, Horde Mode "could" be fun if it wasn't for the fact that everything is broken. The game constantly gets stuck in an infinite loop searching for other players and it is impossible to stop it from searching and go back to the previous menu, the game gets literally stuck there infinitely and there is nothing you can do about it. And if you manage to join a game...

This Sequel/Movie Tie-in is short and bitter.

The game is not a true sequel as the whole game takes place after War for Cybertron but before Fall of Cyberton. It's a side story really, it starts in the Movie fictional world and it's about certain event that happens in the past and you replay those events that occured in the Games universe.

The Movie universe parts of the game are events that happen just after the movie.

Graphics are probably the worst of the whole series, super pixelated paired with the poorest AI and voice acting possible. Even the PS2 and Original XBOX could have pushed out a similar looking game.

The game and it's story serves no purpose other than to sell something titled Transformers at the same time a slew of Toy and Movie comes out the same time and to gouge every dollar from you.

**** - BEWARE - SPOILERS BELOW - *********

They talk about Multiverses and your not sure if the events of the game really relate to each other in the movie world because everything is super vague in details. The main object in the game you really never see it in it's true glory, it's more of a tease than a plot.

The ending is the worse as it basically says that your time is wasted in the game *****SPOILER***** because The Dark Spark (The Decepticon Matrix) travels the multiverse and when it leaves the movie universe at the very end it goes back the Game universe and then the credits roll. So it may be the next TRUE sequel to Fall of Cybertron.

Your never sure that the two universes are really part of the same continuity or if their separate tales woven together and the ending makes it more confusing to know what you exactly played for.
