As such, he fits right into the most dangerous battlegrounds across the universe, where survival depends on maintaining an advantage. The only reason other DECEPTICONS will have anything to do with him is that he always seems to have a supply of fuel when everyone else is tapped out. In vehicle mode, this fierce-looking figure converts to either transport plane mode or tough tanker truck mode, both ready to help you take on the AUTOBOTSź team! The truck's top becomes a melee blade in robot mode. Combine blasters to form a quad laser for the weapon-wielding robot figure and prepare to take on enemy forces!

Here we have Octane as Generation one fans know him. He was a triple changer in the 80's and it is very nice to see a well engineered triple changer from modern toy manufacturing processes. All three modes are nice but the truck mode needs work. The meele blade is interesting but not so great. Overall a B+ for this figure. Good toy with room for improvement.

In the 80's this toy was known as Octane,which is what I will call it in this review.Octane was a Triple Changer back in the 80's with a plane mode,a tanker mode,and a robot mode.Here Octane is reimagined with modern toy mechanics and posability.He still retains the three modes and he looks very much like his G1 self in all three.Usually with a Triple Changer,one mode is always weak,and here that standard is shown with the Tanker truck mode.He has a great plane mode though,as well as an awesome robot mode.For armament he has two guns,but I took one and gave it to Sideswipe.He also has a bizzare comb-like "Melee Blade" which is not used much by me.Overall,I'm glad the triple changer concept is being re-imagined,and here is one of the best examples.

Just gave this to my 8 year old nephew today and he LOVES it. He has played with it for several hours and has repeatedly been changing it from robot, to plane, to truck. He looked at the instructions and figured it out and made the first transformation in under an hour (plane to truck). Truck to robot transformation took very little time. Shipped very quickly-received it in about 2 days.
