At least mine has to be. While this is a great LOOKING version of Galvatron, in fact one of the best, it does not stay together well. Both arms come off easily during transformation, especially the one with the cannon. Definately not for kids because of this. Good for the collector though, who want a Galvatron/Megatron that resembles the original characters.
The fun factor for me has been finding a nemesis for my small Armada version of Optimus Prime.

This is the best homage (not counting G1 reissue) to the original Galvatron looks wise that I have seen. Most others have been simply recolored versions of whatever Megatron was available. I do not feel transformation was that difficult and only consulted the instructions once or twice on a few back pieces. The right (cannon) arm comes off somewhat easily although truth be told I think it was meant to, it has yet to fall off during play. However unlike other reviewers I have yet to have the left arm fall off. There is better than decent posability (incredible though if compared to G1) it is good enough for most kids I believe. I recommend it for kids and collectors.

Like any one who remembers the original '86 animated movie, I was really exited to finally see a galvatron figure who resembled the original, and this one delivers big time in robot mode. For some reason though toy makers refuse to make one that transforms into a cannon like the original, but as a tank this one is as close as you will get, without paying $150-$200 for a G1 or G1 re-issue. The detail is great and very closley resemble the original in robot form, however after that things go downhill very quickly. For some reason this toy is labeled as average difficulty transformation, equal to the jets in the same(very well done) classics line, however while they are extremely easy to transform this guy is nearly impossible.
His arms are guaranteed to fall of during transformation, and while they pop back on, another peice on the bottom fell off that I could not put back on. Now mind you I only transformed it once, and I am not even sure I could transform it again, as usual, the complicated directions only give you a one way detail. Add this to the fact even in robot mode, all but the most carful movments will cause his arms to pop off, and this guy is one of the most poorly designed figures I have ever seen. So unless you are a huge fan of the '86 movie, and have been fixing for a reasonably-priced somewhat accurate galvatron, you should probably avoid this one.

Galvatron is as more badass then ever with an actual vehicle mode instead of just turning into a cannon!Don't get me wrong I love him turning into a cannon as well, but this is just all around alot cooler.Galvatron Has a vehicle mode of a solid autobot crushing tank with a firing cannon that turns into a launching particle cannon blast in robot mode. The turret rotates around during transformation to be on the arm of Galvatron just like Megatron had his particle cannon.Galvatron has some sweet detail all around in both modes with the tank mode having silver highlights along with Galv-25 initialed on the side of the turret. In robot mode Galvatron has realistic detail in the chest, arms (which have a cool looking decepticon symbol on one shoulder),legs, and one of the best classic head pieces around. The durability is excellent all around with Galvatron being very capable of handling whatever comes his way.The poseability is awesome as well with great stability for battle scenes or displaying where you please. The transformation level is advanced meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is mid-level difficulty. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you will have to help in the process. If you take the time to practice with this bad boy he can be a very rewarding transformer for a deluxe class.Galvatron can be challenging for the younger ages, but with some patience it's worth the time.I had no problems with any parts coming off during transformation myself therefore Galvatron is very solid and durable all around in my opinion.Bottom Line Galvatron is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 transformer all fans should enjoy.I highly recommend Transformers Universe Galvatron to all transformer fans and collectors alike.Galvatron Rocks and Transformers Rule!!!

Crap. Can't stand, a pain to transform, arm and legs pop off. Do not buy this, no matter how much you love Leonard Nimoy. I can't stress enough, how disappointing Galvatron is.

When I first saw this toy I thought wow, thats a cool version of Galvatron. My son also thought this was a cool toy so we picked it up. I got to say this is the most horrible transformer I have EVER had the pleasure to transform. Every piece that was connected by ball joint came off while transforming. I wasnt being rough either.Upon the first phase the leg popped off, and continues to pop off with the slightest movement. The instructions are no help either. The only thing that didnt come off was the head. We have alot of Transformers, and I had alot in the past, never have I had this much trouble with one... It is a great looking toy once you get it transformed, but the durability is horrible. I think its funny that the age limit is 5+. No 5 year old could transform this and it is obviously made for over aged collectors that leave them in the package.

When I first saw this toy I couldn't believe it but he actually looks like Galvatron. I was 7 in 86 so you do the math on how old I am. Galvatron instanly became my favorite Decepticon leader I was never that impressed with megatron as a kid. I liked Starscrem alot more. That is probably why I get every Starscream toy they make. My favorite being the extremly huge one from the Cybertron series. But, I digress. I haven't actually played with it because I am a collector and most of mine are in the boxes they come. So I can't comment on the durability of the toy. My complaint though is why the toy is so small. Galvatron should be a $20 to $40 dollar transformer. Isn't he considered a leader class. I know galvatron is not beloved like Megatron, but come on. But I am glad they didn't do like one reiviewer said and just repaint Megatron purple and say look Galvatron. The only Gavatron I have is from the Cybertron series. What funny about that is it seems as though they got the color schemes back words. The megatron has a purple, orange, teal tint and the galvatron is silver, black and red. Wasn't Megatron silver and black? Like I said I'm glad Galvatron is finally looking like Galvatron, but he should be a bigger transformer in my opinion. Oh I almost forgot as far as him being a tank and not a cannon that really doesn't bother me. I know purist may want a purple cannon with a orange barrel. But a tank to me is far more fitting and just makes more sense. Peace

This figure could have definately been better. As one reviewer said this is a great look but nothing much to offer after that. Strictly for display.

Okay so in my opinion Galvatron is the coolest transformer of all. Why can't they make a decent toy of him? And not some thing where he transforms into something other than his G1 transformation; a laser canon! The deluxe series is great in my opinion I would think that aligning the quality done with Rodimus Cyclonus or Grimlock would have done Hasbro some real justice. Why Hasbro? Why have you put out this monstrosity? You could have done so much better and made a slightly bigger version. I would have paid the money!

Finally, Galvatron surfaced the real look which he is supposed to have long time ago... Love that Menacing look on his face... the Brute action poses... wished it was a bigger figure - a voyager or an ultra class level... had a lot of room for improvement. It does easily detach when transforming... other than that, a cool figure to own!
