5.0 out of 5 stars AFTER 25 YEARS I CAN BUY MY OWN TOYS
When I was a wee tot, I lived, breathed, and dreamed Transformers. The iconic battles of good and evil between giant robots... the animation and voice acting was really pretty good and mostly holds up even today. Of course, I had the toys, mostly, but never had any of the Decepticon seekers.

Now I'm an adult, and I can buy my own toys.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kind of weak
We have broken two of these in about 6-months.

The wings are attached by a tiny little plastic bit that breaks very easily. A lot of these transformers say that they have parts that if to much pressure is applied they will pop apart and you can put them back together. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE!

We love Transformers at our house, but this is not a...

5.0 out of 5 stars AFTER 25 YEARS I CAN BUY MY OWN TOYS, April 28, 2009

This review is from: Transformers Universe Deluxe Figure Acid Storm (Toy)
When I was a wee tot, I lived, breathed, and dreamed Transformers. The iconic battles of good and evil between giant robots... the animation and voice acting was really pretty good and mostly holds up even today. Of course, I had the toys, mostly, but never had any of the Decepticon seekers.

Now I'm an adult, and I can buy my own toys.

Acid Storm has a single appearance in the Transformers TV continuity, and a minor part at that. So, to me, he is a generic Decepticon jet. His paint job looks very nice, being jungle camouflage, and could be considered realistic (perhaps as realistic as GI Joe anyway). His missiles fire a good distance, maybe three feet or so. His robot form is good looking, the head actually looks like the TV character (!!!), and only his guns come off (a big improvement over missing hands, missing wings, etc.)

The transform is somewhat difficult, as the fists swing inside the arms and are difficult to get out, and the nosecone executes a complicated folding maneuver to transform to robot. The end result is quite impressive, as my Gen 1 toys never really looked like their TV characters, but this one does. My only complaint is that the figure is entirely plastic (in the good old days, our toys were made of steel so that we could club each other with them), and a concern that my Starscream has loose joints already, and Acid Storm may follow suit (but has not yet).

My opinion is that if you always wished to have the Decepticon seekers, this toy will fulfill your 25 year long dream. I have fun playing with it with my son (although he can't transform it) and it is quite poseable on my display shelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars ravage 24/7, August 12, 2011

Acid Storm is one of the best!Acid Storm was a member of an obscure squad of decepticon warriors known only as "The Rainmakers".His hyperion3 blasters can seed natural clouds with a highly destructive form of acid rain.Acid Storm is one badass decepticon that can take on any autobot challenge. This is a solid all around transformer with great detail in fighter jet mode or robot mode.Acid Storm has a unique camo design for the paint job with great detail and realism for the fighter jet while having awesome unique detail with the classic look in robot mode. This bad boy comes with double hyperion3 blasters while also having two launching missiles. The durability is solid with all parts being very secure for transformation and whatever battle comes along. The poseability is excellent as well with great stability for battle poses or displaying this gem where you please. The transformation level is advanced meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is mid-level difficulty. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you might have to help some in the process.Honestly Acid Storm is very versatile for all ages with a very managable transformation process that envolves about 9 steps. Most younger ages should be able to get the hang of it after a few times of transforming back&forth.Acid Storm is just as good as the Starscream version in every way. This is one transformer all fans should treasure.Bottom line Acid Storm is a high quality,well-made,10 out of 10 transformer all fans will enjoy.I highly recommend Transformers Universe Acid Storm to all transformer fans and collectors alike.Transformers Rule!!!

While Thundercracker should have come first, this is a great repaint that pays homage to an obscure character.
Great paint job on what has become an iconic mold.

5.0 out of 5 stars camo starscream, September 10, 2008
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars

Like me the first thing you may think when you this toy is, well "who is this guy?". Still I decided to pick this one up because he looked like what he is, a camoflauge repaint of the starscream figure in this great classic line. Like the others it is very durable, easily transformed, pretty posable, and stands very well. Great line, that will stand up to kid play, and pose and stand well for collectors, also like the others however, it is slightly smaller than most transfomers, but the detail, and durability make it well worth the price. So yes if your are a transformers seeker jet fan, nab starscream, and then nab this nice camo repaint. They look great next to eachother.

4.0 out of 5 stars A cool addition to any TF collection, March 5, 2010

This is a cool addition to any Trans-Formers collection. I had wondered when they would start producing some of the Seekers that were shown as extras in the original TV series. They started to produce "Sunstorm" from the G1 collection and at the BotCom convention in 2009, they created the limited edition version of Thrust in the deluxe figure.

My 6yo would probably give this five stars. I just can't. I'm constantly having to reassemble the parts that pop off when little kids push them too hard while trying to transform it. I like that it brings a smile to my child's face, but I don't like how often I have to be the one to repair and transform it.

As soon as I saw this figure on-line, never had second thoughts of getting one. In as much I loved Decepticon Seekers, he comes second after StarScream - my favorite... I can't complain how great the paint job was, considering how realistic the features of this robot came up with... Love it, Have it! It's a must have...

Seriously... this guy has a name?

And why does he transform into an Earth vehicle? That never happened in the one episode in which he appeared... he's supposed to have a Cybertronian vehicle mode... LOL

Cool as a novelty but not much else.
