"The Heavy Metal War"
Megatron challenges Optimus Prime to a one-on-one battle. The loser will be exiled to deep space forever. According to Cybertron law, Optimus has no choice but to accept. As usual, Megatron is up to no good. His Constructicons have stolen some top-secret energy disks from a power plant that will enable him to absorb all the power and abilities of his fellow Decepticons. But Megatron's plans go beyond destroying Optimus. He will use their battle as a diversion so his Constructicons can capture Autobot headquarters. While their fight rages on, Autobot security system, Teletraan I, discovers both of Megatron's plans and alerts the Autobots. Is it too late, or can Optimus and his Autobots battle back?

"The Insecticon Syndrome" Megatron and Starscream form an alliance with their arch enemy, the Insecticons. In exchange for breaking into Iron Mountain, Megatron will treat them to the Nova Power Core, a feast that will make the Insecticons indestructible. Megatron knows that once his foes have ingested the energy, they will become flying time bombs, and he'll be rid of them forever. Optimus learns of Megaron's evil plan and comes up with an antidote. How will he convince the Insecticons of Megatron's treachery? Thinking they're indestructible, what will stop the Insecticons from trying to destroy everything in sight, including Megatron and his army?

This volume is great because it is the only one out of the 24 that has the Insecticons.

I give it four stars firstly because its the original Transformers and secondly because both episodes are from the first season.

The title confused me on how the two episodes are connected but I guess they are. I hope to see more episodes coming out later on, keep up the good work Kid Rhino.

These were the good times great stories, great animation. I still can't believe that the transformers are back I'm going to buy the 6 volumes that have been released and I'm waiting for the DVD edition of the movie. I have always loved The Transformers and I thank the ones who had the good sense to bring them back the first gen. will always be the best I don't like beast wars I like these ones the original ones the hand drawn ones. I have always liked 80s cartoons and shows like, DuckTales (I hope they come back like the transformers), Thundercats (why amazon.com doesn't have the movie they made), A-Team (I hope they release a couple of videos), G.I. Joe and of course The Transformers! I hope they release a couple of volumes more about hmmm all the episodes

This video is very good because this particular video has two of the Best Transformers episodes ever made. The first episode on this video is the Heavy Metal War. It is final episode of Season 1 of the American Transformers cartoon and the first Appearance of the Constructicons. Megatron has evil created another scheme against Optimus Prime and the Autobots. He has found a way using a device made from the Constructicons to combine the powers of all the other Decepticons. Using a chips called " A power chip rectifer." Megatron is able to become more powerful then ever before. He then challenges Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, to a one on one battle. The loser must exile himself to deep space for eterity. The winner may stay were he chooses. Using the Code of Honor of Cybertron, Optimus Prime agrees to this challenge and fights him. Can the noble Optimus Prime defeat a Superpowered Megatron? This video has some great fight season between Optimus Prime and Megatron. Also The Dinobots challlenge The constructicons and Devastator! This particular episode is a personal favoite of mine! watch it! the Next episode is the Insecticon Syndrom, Megatron wants to steal the Defense computer at Iron mountain and he has the Insectiocns to help him but they have their own agenda in conquering the earth. Can Optimus Prime and the Autobots stop megatron and the evil insecticons from stealing the defense computer? This is a can't miss video to add to yourTF collection. Buy it! This a must see video for all the children of the 1980s generation.
