Finally, a spirituality book with some substance and depth beyond consumerism. Robert Ohotto's text brings in a MUCH needed balance to the overblown Law of Attraction teachings, weaves in the cultural spells that so many people fall under without being preachy - explores themes such soul vs. the spirit, destiny vs. fate and seamlessly embroiders in personal narratives and encourages readers follow along with a journal and yet it doesn't feel dumbed down or tacked on. That Hay House has signed Ohotto and Caroline Myss signifies that company's maturation in things of the soul beyond presenting the Universe as a gigantic slot machine. This is an astonishing, tremendous book for its smooth, clean writing, scope of thought and holds up the mirror ushering in a new and much needed dialogue with the New Thought arena - encouraging balance, thoughtfulness and service to humanity. I can't say enough good things about this book.

This book has a very empowering message. I know that many times I have felt that I was at the mercy of "sometype of pre-determined fate". This great book is sort of a spiritual "if life gives you lemons, turn them into lemonade and succeed". It was filled with lots of answers. If you are on the path of the spiritual seeker; this book is a must for your library, you may not always agree with what he says, but I guarantee it will give you food for thought

For all of the exceedingly glowing reviews of this book, I was really looking forward to reading it but ended up pretty disappointed. My greatest disappointment was in feeling that, with so much boasting, the author was more trying to sell himself as a coveted "intuitive" rather than just getting out a good message. He's got some fine points that many will find value in but I didn't find enough new inspiring points to justify the unusual number of rave reviews. The book was fine. The reviewers might be his friends.

This book was highly recommended to me, perhaps it's the problem I had with it, my high expectations. But I was really put off by how it is more an advertisement for Robert's services than a book that connects the dots on this big intriguing subject. It does an okay job of tackling fate as it pertains to destiny, but it is very repetitive on the subject; and does not quite expand on it. I think it could have been called "the reality of one's life as you can turn it into one's destiny". It does not hang together very well. Mind you the book I do believe is brilliant, just for reference sake, is Zen and the Art of Falling in Love. A little book that is progressive in it's thinking and takes you to a place where you can really feel you've learned something; even transform.

The other thing that is quite difficult is if you do want to look further at Robert's services (and they are quite expensive) you cannot find one recommendation online, no customers that have reported that for the $700 plus for any of his intuitive fees that they are happy or that they have had the experiences Robert touts in the book. This makes me highly suspicious and is put offish.

Anyway, the book does have some interesting concepts but never in my estimation expanded upon in a digestible way. But you can get those from YouTube and not have to go through a repetitive book to glean the essence of this book. Sorry Robert I so wanted to believe. I was so excited at the prospect of this book. And was gung ho to hire you too. But I can't find a recommendation and I am taken aback about this book's sell job.
