4.0 out of 5 stars If you like Ladytron...
...You'll like this album. They put more of an analog spin on the sounds of the late seventies & eighties than does Ladytron, but nevertheless, the same sort of groove is present here as exists in "604" by Ladytron. Overall, it's great fun to listen to, I actually prefer this album to most of Ladytron's music, and I wonder when Barcelona are going to...

3.0 out of 5 stars More fun indie pop by Barcelona!! - 3.5 stars
Barcelona must absolutely love its style because all of their albums sound exactly the same (just with new songs). This isn't really a bad thing considering they write some very catchy and fun songs (which most, admittedly, people won't like). As I've said many times with this band, it's a love-it-or-hate-it kind of situation. The lyrics and the singer himself are very...

5.0 out of 5 stars one of my favorites, November 18, 2004
This review is from: Transhuman Revolution (Audio CD)
this is by far one of my favorite albums, more synth use and what not...just amazing catchy music...first time listen gets you hooked...i promise...

and again, to the review a few below me, barcelona sounds nothing like ladytron...? are you kidding me...first of all dont compare artists, and ladytron would be considerd "electro" if anything, not synth-pop, or new wave...thanks

This album makes me really miss this group and helps me to slip into nostalgic ponderousness.

4.0 out of 5 stars Barcelona, December 16, 2008

I stumbled on this band via Pandora and I've been searching for their records. I wish the girl singer would sing more but I still love the clever lyrics and new wave hooks. Recommended for fans of the Rentals, Reggie and the Full Effect and computers.

3.0 out of 5 stars More fun indie pop by Barcelona!! - 3.5 stars, January 1, 2006
This review is from: Transhuman Revolution (Audio CD)
Barcelona must absolutely love its style because all of their albums sound exactly the same (just with new songs). This isn't really a bad thing considering they write some very catchy and fun songs (which most, admittedly, people won't like). As I've said many times with this band, it's a love-it-or-hate-it kind of situation. The lyrics and the singer himself are very nerdy, if that kind of thing throws you off. "Transhuman Revolution", though, is definitely a satisfactory album for fans of the group. I don't think this album will win over any new fans, but that doesn't really matter I suppose. If you like indie pop you might like this, but that's up in the air. Recommended for Barcelona fans and the curious.

Highlights include:
"Intro"
"Everything Makes Me Think About Sex"
"West Coast Radio"
"Watching You Watching Us"
"Fleeting Frame"
"Beautiful"
"The Power Of Jen"
"Extro"

5.0 out of 5 stars This album rocks, December 19, 2002
This review is from: Transhuman Revolution (Audio CD)
My only complaint is that it is too short. BUT what an album!
Fleeting kind of fame is superb and Power of Jen is such a rad song. Any girl named Jen must have this in her collection. Buy it and and buy another for a friend.
