Alfred Bendiner was a famous Philadelphian of Hungarian extraction, and this book is both an autobiography and an entertaining collection of stories about the immigrant experience. Anyone who is familiar with Philadelphia would love to read about the old neighborhoods. Bendiner also gives anecdotes from his travels and his experiences in World War I. Heavily illustrated with his wonderful drawings. 317 pages.
