5.0 out of 5 stars Cool toy!
It's a very fun toy! I wanted a microphone that didn't light up or sing (don't we have enough of those toys already?) and yet I wanted a toy that my daughter could have a lot of fun with. This is definitely it! So much fun.

First, the picture is misleading, I thought I would receive two microphones, but only received one. That was a little disappointing...

do not buy this toy online. it breaks very easily and it is not sturdy and dangerous. if you want one get it target. it is only 1.99 compared to what you have to pay online and plus the shipping

That was a little disappointing but luckily we received the pink one which is my 3.5 year old's favorite color! Not really a big deal that it was just one, but i thought I should mention it incase others are thinking the same thing. I did not get to pick the color, not sure if that's an option for others or not.

The microphone doesn't amplify, but it does echo, which is very cool. My husband and I even enjoy playing with it, as does my 12 month old! You need to put your mouth onto the microphone to get the best results, but even if you keep your mouth an inch or two away, you'll get a nice echo.

It was much bigger than I had thought it would be. I'ts 9.5 inches long and it's about 3 inches thick.

My biggest disappointment is the shipping costs - soooo much more than the cost of the toy!

all in all it's a great toy and your child will have tons of fun with it!

My 5 year old loves this microphone because she is really into pretending to sing in front of audiences. This microphone is easy, no batteries and it makes an echoing sound. The only problem with them is that they are huge, so it took some time to convince my daughter that they were microphones as they look a little more like the size of a megaphone.

I bought this at a store for $[...] and brought it home to my 4 year old daughter and she loved it! But also to my surprise my 18 month old son got even a bigger kick out of it than my daughter! I wished I had bought 2! They kept fighting over it! It is actually really cool! For the price especially, it is a lot of fun for little ones!

My SIL used this to announce costumes at her child's Halloween party so we got some for ourselves. We have 3 so the kids don't have to share. It is endless fun for putting on shows and introducing skits. We love it and never get tired of it. Bonus - no batteries required!

This was a Hit for sleepover birthday party. The girls had a blast we even decorated the mic for the theme of her party. Beware it is a big microphone but it is cute. My girls are having fun with them right now singing songs.

My [...] year old and my [...] year old love this indistructable toy microphone. It actually does not amplify the voice much louder than it is spoken into the mic, but it echos. It is a very simple construction, doesn't need batteries and and there are no moving parts. Fun for all ages. Would make a great party favor too.

I just purchased the Translucent Magic Mic (Colors May Vary) as a Christmas gift for my almost 2 yr old grandson, so I'm the only one who has played with it. It seems very durable. I wanted a low cost simple toy microphone that works (I only paid 6.31 for mine). This in my opinion was a great choice. I think my grandson will like it. It makes your voice sound kind of like an echo. It's a no frills no fuss low cost toy mic that sounds kind of like using a megaphone. It works best if you put your mouth on it. All in all, I like it, it was what I was wanting. The only bad thing is not being able to pick pink or blue, and of course the one I was sent for my grandson is pink with the top and bottom being purple.

Bought this for my 5 year old who loves to sing and it does the job.Has a decent echo. It is not loud so you cannot have the music loud if you want to hear the singer. Also great for toddlers as they LOVE to hear their own voices echo and we use it for silly moments when asking questions, kind of like we are on the radio or a talk tv show. No batteries, no electricity, inexpensive....I think every family should have one of these.

This mike is okay as long as your child is not looking for great magnification. It works by vibrating a spring inside the "mike." If purchased at a discount / big box store, it would be worth the money - since purchasing the toy here I've since seen it elsewhere for anywhere between $1.50 and $3.00.
