Book Description

One man’s terrifying journey out of his mind - and into many others!

Fletcher was dying. But it wasn’t that simple. His mind refused to follow his body; instead, it moved from brain to brain: young, old, healthy, ill, men, women. But now he found himself in the brain of Charles Searle, the twisted scientist who had altered Fletcher’s mind, leaving him a disembodied personality.

Fletcher now shared his brain.

And Searle was dying.

4.0 out of 5 stars High-grade pulp SF July 14, 2009
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This is probably the best thing pulp SF author J.T. McIntosh ever wrote. A misfit and all-around loser finds that he has the power to move into the minds of other people and share their thoughts and lives. In a daring departure from the pulp canon, McIntosh even has his character "transmigrate" into a couple of women. This makes for
interesting reading, indeed.

In this book, McIntosh convincingly demonstrated that he could write with the best of them. One or two more works on this level would have established his reputation. Unfortunately, this was near the end of his career.

This book is another prime candidate for kindlizing. Please, Amazon, don't let classic pulp SF go extinct.

2.0 out of 5 stars A LOT OF PROMISE BUT DIDN'T LIVE UP THE SALES PITCH November 29, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a Kindle release of a vintage, obscure SF novel which I bought as a Kindle Daily Deal based upon the book's description. I found the content simple didn't live up to the premise, the story started slowly, continued slowly and never really picked up steam. I'm always reluctant to not complete a novel through to the end and I stuck this one out. I was not rewarded for my persistence.

Another good book that hooked me and kept me reading to what I considered to be a good ending. Try it.

Loved the story -- well written and intriguing. Would recommend to anyone who likes a bit of 'out there' in their stories.

2.0 out of 5 stars Stopped reading it September 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The book was slow, and the characters dull and muddled. Too little action. Like a ponderous novel from the 40s.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book! September 24, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was a very unusual book so I thoroughly enjoyed it. From the title I first thought it would be really sci-fi but it wasn't. I don't like things that are too scientific. It boggles my old brain!

Very good book. Written in the 70s I think, but it holds up well. Pay attention to the other reviews, there isn't a lot I can say that hasn't been said.
