High-grade pulp SF, July 14, 2009
This review is from: Transmigration (Vintage Avon, V2375) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is probably the best thing pulp SF author J.T. McIntosh ever wrote. A misfit and all-around loser finds that he has the power to move into the minds of other people and share their thoughts and lives. In a daring departure from the pulp canon, McIntosh even has his character "transmigrate" into a couple of women. This makes for
interesting reading, indeed.
In this book, McIntosh convincingly demonstrated that he could write with the best of them. One or two more works on this level would have established his reputation. Unfortunately, this was near the end of his career.
This book is another prime candidate for kindlizing. Please, Amazon, don't let classic pulp SF go extinct.
