Polar is the best HRM watch one can get. However, when time comes for the battery replacement, this is where this company will get you. To replace the battery in the watch and the trasmitter, the owner of this watch must send the watch and the transmitter to the authorized dealer to do so to ensure water proofing and the cost for the battery replacement is approximately $75.00. For the transmitter, instead of replacing the battery, the company will just replace your transmitter with the refurbished transmitter and they charged about $40.00. When you are choosing the hrm watch, you should consider this point before buying.

This is a great HRM for most amateur and weekend athletes. I wear it to swim, bike and run plus I have worn it (just for fun) while shoveling snow after a big storm. It helps tremendously to track times and effort of my training workouts. I just purchased a second monitor for my mom for mother's day, she mostly walks but this is a great for that as well. In hind sight I think I might have purchased the f11 as it would give me even more zone information and more tracking capabilities, but this is a great monitor. I have owned other Polar HRMs and I won't buy any other brand.

I bought this heart rate monitor about a month ago and have been very pleased with its performance. I use it to swim, I swim for an hour each day and love to see the amount of calories I burn each time. Usually around 300 calories. I have left it on for an entire day and found out I burn about 4000 calories in one day. WOW. The only thing is if you use it to swim, you need to take 18 points off your heart rate in deep water and 8 in shallow water. So I adjusted my target rates and it is just fine. I would recommend this product to any one looking for a heart rate moniter that is simple to use.
