This product is being used on my iPod Touch. The great thing about the iPod car kit is even with a hard plastic/rubber protective case left on, it fits into the charger. The clamps are firm enough to keep in place, but not so tight you can't get it out easily. I like the charging capability and the transmitter portion is fairly easy to set up. However, the reason for the 3/5 stars is No Instructions. Anywhere. There are no explanations in the packaging about subtle little things you might want to know. Like how to set the time. Also, the remote seems to work, but only if you are on "shuffle" or playing an album and want to rewind, advance, skip or repeat songs. It won't turn on backlight on my Touch, won't bring up playlists or anything else that is imprinted on the remote.
Also, I have yet to find any car accessory that uses FM as a transmission source that sounds perfectly clear or equal to cable/jack connection. This is one of them. (I also have a Delphi XM radio that I have cabled to the tape deck, because the FM signal never sounds as clear.)
I had to crank up the volume on the iPod Touch, the car radio and lower the Delphi XM to be able to switch between the two music sources without blasting the volume. The trade off is that the iPod now has noticeable background static.
Not a bad product if you have the available cigarette adapter holes left over and want to keep your iPod tTouch in a convenient place while you drive.

This is a good product for the first month only. After one month I tried putting it in my car and it fell apart it burned out my stereo, cigarette lighter, and car clock. I really don't recommend it endless your willing to pay a lot more later.

Poor quality. Its HUGE and bulky so it flops around in the car adapter and doesn't find the best radio station to play my Ipod Nano on. I would deffinitly take my money somewhere else....

Clumsy and junk. Too many FM stations broadcast, so can't find a clear one in Vancouver, WA. Mainly, though, this product is unweildy, my IPOD doesn't secure into the holder well, and isn't synched up with the car. You have to use the Cigarette Lighter for power, which is on all the time, so when you get out of the car, its a hassle to keep turning this product off and on. reject.

This product literally fell apart within a month of use. The part that plugs into the car completely broke apart so it can no longer be used. When it worked I didn't really like it. I bought it so that the ipod could sit in it so I wouldn't have to dig around to find the ipod, but my ipod would constantly fall out of the device. Also the bulkiness didn't fit where the plug was, had to move it every time I went into fifth gear. Remote stopped working within a week. Didn't like that it cancels out the volume of the ipod so it was only controllable by the car stereo which meant that the sound came out fuzzy because you had to turn it up enough to hear it. Would not recommend.

Sound quality is great, but this does NOT charge your ipod nano while playing!!

In order to charge it you have to plug your ipod cord into the USB port on the device and then plug the other end into the ipod, which means you have to unplug the device from your ipod. So basically it will charge, but you can't listen to it while it charges and you will have your whole long cord in your car right by your shifter=dangerous! No wonder it was so cheap. If I would have known this, I would have spent more on one that will charge while playing.

Also, you have to make sure you turn it off or take it out every time you leave your car or it will run down your battery.

On a good note, I like how compact it is, with no cords (as long as you don't want to charge it) and it sits very nicely in my cigarette lighter right by my radio so it's easy to operate.

This product does not have an off button! So you have to take it out in order to turn it off. But if you keep taking it out and putting it back in, it is going to break! mines did!

Had the product for about 3 months. It just stopped working when the weather got cold. Would not buy another one for that reason.

This was the worst purchase I have ever made on amazon. I am usually very pleased with what I get, and I have ordered FM adapters before. One I dropped and broke and the other was stolen and both of them were wonderful. This one never worked well once. If it did play the music it was quiet. Most of the time it wouldn't even play the music or it would be over powered by static. It doesn't hold my ipod and it was constantly falling out. Do not get this product.

This thing sticks out pretty far.
I also tried it in two different cars and there was a lot of static.
What looks like a remote to the side is actually a light that looks like a remote.
