It is easy to remove the case when you know how... I LOVE this case!,

How To Remove the Transparent Clear Crystal Snap On Hard Case for SanDisk Sansa Fuze. Sorry the angle of the video... I had to work with my "Still" camera's tack-on video feature. LOL To remove the case, you need a thin bladed knife or thin piece of plastic. I used my Swiss Army Knife. DO NOT TRY TO PRY THE CASE OFF! If you try to pry, you will break the case. It is strong, but even a strong case will crack towards the base if you pry. Be gentle... Very very gentle. It is easy to get off once you see it done once.

I had purchased a case for my husband's Fuze several months ago and bought the 3 in 1 travel case set. I definitely didn't like it's ill fitting design and so when I purchased a Fuze for myself decided to try out this snap on case. His leather case is not only ill fitting and doesn't protect the screen very well but it completely hides the Fuze's good looks. I enjoy the fact that this case doesn't seem easily scratched and shows off the Fuze while protecting it at the same time. It fits perfectly. All of the ports are easily accessible. I had no trouble turning it on and off. I was able to remove the case twice within 10 minutes although it was not easy and took some care which honestly, is what you would expect in a good quality case. My niece has an I-pod and I watched her step-father struggle with removing the snap on case. It took him much longer just to get that thing apart than what it took me to get this one apart, back together, and then apart again. I used an old fashioned staple remover (the one with the bent top not the kind with the "teeth" so to speak) to act as a lever and pry it apart from the bottom where the opening for the port is. Also, I noticed my niece's case didn't have an opening at all to charge her Ipod. This case has ALL of the openings in exactly the correct places so you shouldn't have to take it on and off a lot. The clip wasn't as bad as what some of the reviews lead me to believe it would have been. However the clip is definitely cheap looking and seems as if it could be easily broken. I do like the fact that you can leave the back part of the clip inside the case with the Fuze in it and then unscrew the actual clip on part from the outside of the case and detach it completely if you don't want to use it. This is a nice feature since I'll probably only use the clip when I'm jogging. Overall, a very well designed case. Again, I had no problem taking mine off contrary to the one review where the person said it could not be removed at all. I would be interested in reading some reviews from others who have maybe had their cases a while as I hope that the case wouldn't over time maybe become impossible to remove? I hope not anyway.
Just wanted to give an update, it's Nov., 2010, case is still holding up great(even though it does now look the worse for wear seeing as how I've dropped it about 100 times and thrown it in my purse and basically just scratched the heck out of it). It's still easy to remove the case and still protecting my Fuze just fine. I think I might buy another case after Christmas though because I have scratched mine up pretty badly.

This is a GREAT case for the Sansa Fuze - what you can't tell from the photo is that it DOES cover the screen. Pros: Seems very durable, covers the whole player neatly while leaving open slots for the data ports and buttons. ALSO - the player can fit into the docking station of the Altec Lansing inMotion iM413 Portable Audio System for Sansa while this case is on it!!! These are GREAT sounding speakers, and then you have no need to try to pry this case off. Cons: Yes, the case is EXTREMELY hard if nt impossible to pry off once it's on. I'd probably have to break my case to get it off. However, I don't see why I'd need to do that since I have the speakers I mentioned above. Also, it has a small hole in the back for possibly a belt loop attachment (?) but no other way to attach a wrist strap or anything. So you will need some kind of pouch or pocket to keep it in. (The actual player doesn't have a wrist strap or belt clip either, so the case doesn't make much of a difference anyway.)

Arrived quickly, well before the estimated delivery date. This case fits the Fuze perfectly, and allows access to all ports and controls. I bought this to replace a leather case that didn't allow access to the microSD card without removal, and I am well pleased.

Can't remove it!!,
This review is from: Transparent Clear Crystal Snap On Hard Case for SanDisk Sansa Fuze (Electronics)
This product is great- if you want it to be permanent! I put the case when I received it and it will NOT come off. Every time I try prying the case apart, I actually pry the Fuze apart. I am not too pleased with this item.
It does protect the Fuze very well and you have access to all the ports you need, but I would really like to be able to REMOVE it.

This case is perfect. Fits tight as can be with easy access to all parts of the Fuze. I wanted a tough clear case that I could leave on 24\7 and never take off for any reason. That is exactly what this little puppy is.
Simple as pie to snap on and the devil and his two sisters to take off, it is sturdy and strong. There is a little screw on belt loop that comes with it. Make sure you put the little screw in the back of the case before you see how well it fits together. It fits together so tightly and is so perfectly engineered, I couldn't slide my fingernails in between the two halves of the case, I had to use a pocket knife and be super gentle as to not chip or scratch either the case or the Fuze. Extremely happy with the product.

Now that we have a video tutorial for those who haven't yet tried to remove the case and broke it I have only a couple of advices left. When you get it do yourself a favor and check for connector clearance before snapping the halves together for good. Place the Fuze into the bottom half and see if the connector will go in smoothly without bumping into the case on the mic side. Chances are it will. If so grab your favorite mini-file and remove 2mm of offending plastic on that side. Now you're good to go. Another advice - keep a paper clip in your pocket if you don't have long nails, it is very handy when you need to operate the power switch as it is nearly impossible to slide it up and down when inside this case.

Adding my two cents in. Case works wonderfully for protecting the Fuze which is why I'm giving it 5 stars, but yes, it can be hard to remove if you don't know the trick. But if you run a fingernail or knife blade or small screwdriver around the edge of the case as in M. Flasch's video review, the case pops open easy. I suggest people try snapping the case together and then opening it with their fingernail *before* they put it on the Fuze, so they can see how it works. And then try it after they put it on the Fuze so they'll know if they need to remove the protective case suddenly, they'll be able to.
Also, the opening for the data cable is slightly too narrow horizontally on my case, so you're unable to push the left side of the cable in all the way. I find the Fuze still communicates fine with my computer despite this, but if you have a problem, you will need to pop the case off and use a file on the data cable opening to enlarge it a bit. Appears to be an opening for a belt clip on the back of the case, no clip included though. Different batches, I suspect. Mine was from the seller 'BargainCell'. Would be interesting to see if there's a theme with what seller people bought their case from and whether or not they received a belt clip with their case. I know I would have liked to order from a certain seller if I knew they included the clip.

Tight Little Case,

This is a very nice case for my Sansa Fuse. It is "hardly there" and fits perfectly. "Like a glove" as they say. It also covers the screen, which is a plus as i don't have to use some lousy screen protector now. And it doesn't interfere with the quality of the video image or photos on the Fuze. It is truly "crystal clear" as advertised.
Only 4 stars and not 5 for reasons already mentioned by other reviewers. I tried taking it off the Fuze just to see if I could, and I couldn't. I didn't bother seeing what it might take, as I have no reason to take it off. However if I ever do I expect some effort and care will be needed. This is actually a good thing too, however. I'd rather have a case which isn't going to pop in half all the time then have one that does because its not secure. The On / Off switch is harder to operate, and the microSD slot is even harder to work with, as the case surrounds it somewhat. These are small cons however, and have more to do with the excellent fit of the case and the design of the Fuze itself then a flaw in the case. However they still need to be noted. If you like changing cases all the time or want perfect ease of access to the SD card slot, this case may nor be for you. Otherwise it most certainly is. I would buy it again over any other case I've looked at without reservation.
