I am an Advanced Placement Spanish Language teacher and I use Spanish at home with my daughters. I bought this program for my 6 year old daughter since she loves using the computer. In the other reviews, they mentioned that there is no English spoken. This is true and it is the best way to learn another language. I found the software to be intuitive as my 6 year old can navigate easily through the levels without any help from me. They use the correct textbook vocabulary with correct accent placement and the words are pronounced correctly. As a teacher, I would recommend this software highly to anyone learning Spanish. It may seem difficult at first, but believe in your children! They are smarter than you think!

I am extremely disappointed in this product. My chid is nine and found this so boring she didn't even want to play it; it didn't even pique my interest. We purchase a lot of educational software, and it ususally glues my child to the computer. Not this one! Also, the pronunciation is not clear. If you don't already know some Spanish, I don't think you would be able to understand it. The program then uses the "th" pronunciation as used in Spain, and not in the rest of the Latin countries of the world. Save your $20.00 for something better.

Our son is 6 and he LOVES this program. It is an inexpensive way to get your child to learn some basic Spanish. There is no English translation, however, so it helps if you know a little Spanish.

While the games on this software are fun for small children, the Spanish spoken in the games is not the standard Mexican Spanish that is usually taught in American schools. This is difficult to deal with when using this as a teaching aid.

I purchased this for my 9 year old son who was very excited about learning Spanish. After an hour of frustration with the CD, he ended up in tears. The cartoon girl in the CD starts speaking right away in full Spanish sentences. I have some knowledge of Spanish, and I didn't even know what she was saying! There is a game that has the kids trying to match letters with the sounds they make, but no instruction has been given on the phonics rules in Spanish. And don't even get me started on the ABC song. Don't waste your money. I'm returning this ASAP.
