I am a Japanese]English bilingual. I was searching for Japanse-Engilsh translation software for my friend to use. I tried only used Japanese-English, English-Japanese transration part of the software. I was hoping that this would do 70% of the transration correctry but I found that it did less than 10% of the transration. I could not make use out of this software.

The five-star reviews of this product are forged. For more examples of this, look up their other product "Language Now" - you will see near-identical reviews of various versions of that product, uploaded from throwaway accounts, all in June 2003.

This language translation program is so useful. The translations are not perfectly exact but close enough that you can tell what is being said without much error at all. Any text you read on a computer or can type into one can be translated between seven languages ( English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese). I really found this useful for going to web pages written in another language, emails to foreign colleagues and just with translation in general. Overall, this program is great and I would highly recomend it for anyone who needs translation software.

I have tried numerous translation software products and have found that Easy Translator 4 is the best one out there. This is great for getting translations of email, web pages, Microsoft Word documents, text documents, and any other text that can be entered into a computer. Accuracy in ALL translation software is not 100% but I was able to comprehend all translations done by this software to a very high degree of understanding. Easy Translator 4 gets a five-star rating because it is the best translation software out there.

This program is truely amazing. Basically it allows you to translate from language to language on a computer (For Example: Someone in Japan e-mails you in the USA but in the Japanese language, this program could translate that email into English for you to read). Now this program isn't just limited to e-mails. It can translate web pages, Microsoft Word and Corel Word Perfect documents, simple text you type or paste in and almost any other text accesible by a computer.
I used this program to keep in touch with business clients all over the world through e-mail and it worked with great accuracy. One of the best and most useful features is having the ability to translate with 7 languages (English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese) all in one program. This is a good, and useful program to quickly bridge the language barrier.

This is a pretty cool program. I really didn't know what to expect when I installed Easy Translator, some of the online translation site I have tried were pretty bad. But this program made it easy for me to communicate with an associate in Mexico. The transltion aren't perfect but they are certianly good enough to get the message accross.

I tried the Japanese translator that is included and was also impressed. It was on the same CD but had to be installed separately.

All in all Easy Translator is a must have for anyone that deals with people around the world.

However, you have to install two sets of files that are labeled "J-Surf" to get this translator on your disk. It's not intuitively obvious from the setup that this is needed. I thought they were web surfing options and skipped them at first.

Easy Translator Deluxe 4 is a very reliable and impressive language translation software. This software has the capability to translate any text on your computer from/to seven different languages (Spanish, English, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Japanese). The uses for such a product are endless in today's world and its capabilities truely impressive. I really recomend using this program if you need translation software.

I have just used the spanish to english translator. You will be able to get a decent idea of what is being said, but it can be quite confusing. I think it deserves better than 1 star, but other than being fairly cheap, doesnt do the best job. Just dont have unrealistic expectations because with translating entire paragraphs with each word having several different meanings, it is impossible for a machine to get a perfect translation.
Strengths:
1. Small, nonobtrusive translator box that you can put in a paragraph or whatever to translate
2. Asks what definition you want to use on certain words
3. Relatively fast and doesnt require internet access
Weaknesses
1. Other programs out there let you put in the the subjects of the conversation, and they use correct pronouns. This one is very simple and uses it or he she, but doesnt do well here so can get confusing if you dont know the subjects
2. Costs money and I'm not sure it is better than some free online translators - it just doesnt have limits on the number of translations and you dont have to use the internet
3. As said before, does not save definitions and it doesnt recognize some words if they dont have the accents on them which i found to be very strange
4. Lastly, as difficult as it was for me to understand the espanol to english, I wouldnt dare translate an english paragraph and just send it. I use it more as a reference to further check my still learning skills.
In conclusion after using this product I am still searching for a good translator as right now I use about 3-4 and compare the translations of certain words to get what I want. If you are taking a spanish class and try to use this to translate your paragraph and dont double check it, you will do very poorly. I would recommend trying @promt or systran online as I have gotten better translations from them before purchasing. They let you try it out before purchasing. Hope this helps.
