5.0 out of 5 stars do you wear reeboks in heaven?
my answer is yes, I'll even wear the high-tops to kick it old school... my only condition: I gotta have this album playing in the background. it is absolutely catchy from start to finish (it reminds me a little of the Hot Chip album, Junior Boys' recent material, even some AIR back when Moon Safari was the shananigan... it still is actually), but they got their own...

3.0 out of 5 stars Only ok
Transparent things is only ok. It's not terrible but it's not amazing. If you like Fujiya & Myiagi you should like this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars do you wear reeboks in heaven?, May 7, 2007
my answer is yes, I'll even wear the high-tops to kick it old school... my only condition: I gotta have this album playing in the background. it is absolutely catchy from start to finish (it reminds me a little of the Hot Chip album, Junior Boys' recent material, even some AIR back when Moon Safari was the shananigan... it still is actually), but they got their own krautrock/electronic thing going without taking themselves too seriously... just listen to the lyrics for crying out loud... they're hilarious. the "collarbone" track is outstanding, as well as "photocopier", "in one ear..." and the aforementioned "reeboks in heaven"... they are perfect to kick it back before going out, or even for the after-party... it will get everyone in a terrific, funky, let's-get-up and dance mood... highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining album from start to finish. Buy It Now!, March 9, 2007
Leave it to a few UK studs to come up with a sound this brilliant. 'Hilarious Euro-pop with slick bass lines' is a fairly accurate description but doesn't do this album justice. The recording is crystal and the beats are easy and fun to follow. "Got to get a new pair of shoes, to kick it with her, not kick it with you" is just one example of F&M's delightfully amusing choruses. This is perfect conversation-piece music that will extinguish any drama or awkward silence at your next gathering. Your guests will thank you, and your mp3 player will appreciate your good taste.

5.0 out of 5 stars best live show ever, November 30, 2009
This album was a gift from a more musically educated and exposed friend than i, about 4 years ago. Loved it. Inspired me to see F&M in concert twice, both instances opening for Peter Bjorn and John- both, some of the best shows i've ever seen. F&M- you definitely put on the best live show i've witnessed in a small venue, to date. thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not a Japanese band, September 7, 2007
By
But they are still good. Just kidding. Everytime I throw them on somewhere, i.e. parties, lounging around, bat mitzahs, people always ask, "what is this great music". It's F&M peoples, and they're great. Bought this for my sister for her birthday, you should do the same. No sister? Treat yourself. Thank me later.

5.0 out of 5 stars oooooo! oooooo!, May 13, 2007
This album rules except for the song "Sucker punch" everything else is awesome...I really dig kraut rock and dance music, so when you put it together I really really dig it!

5.0 out of 5 stars F&J are the real deal, June 6, 2009

PDSF (SF, CA USA) - See all my reviews
Everything everyone has said about this album is true, and the really good news is that the band has added a live drummer and rocks these songs like you wouldn't believe live. The lyrics may be wack but they are so understated, you can ignore them if you want to and almost think of it as an instrumental album. The band is ridiculously tight. This is actually one of my favorite albums of all time. Funky krautrock is one of the best sounds ever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, August 23, 2007
This cd is amazing. You can't help but to move to the beat of all of the songs. It is rare to enjoy every song on a cd, but that is the case here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Transparent Things, June 27, 2007
This is one of the best discoveries I've made in years.
It sounds new, different and refreshing from the
current music scene. You will love it, too.
