If you are a younger child or perhaps a young teenager, you probably won't care for this game. It takes time and patience to play this game. It is not a boring game, it just takes time. The creativity you can unleash in this game is unreal. Even for an older game, it is awesome. I highly recommend it. I bought it new when It came out and never parted with it. I had a saved game I played for over 2 years. Was a bit disgusted when it hit the year 2050 and then the year counter quit keeping track and then a few game years after that, it quit going. I had a 4 billion dollar transport empire. It was awesome. Find a machine to play it on and buy and enjoy.

This game is truly addictive. For adults, though. Or "grown-up nerds", at least. I don't think today's kids will have the attention span to get into it because it takes a little while (half hour to an hour) to really get going. But then 6 hours pass before you know it, all the while you're managing your business empire with no intention of slowing down.

Of course, the problem these days is finding a computer to actually play it on. It DOES NOT WORK ON WINDOWS XP. Even with patches or whatever they promise you -- no, it will not. I haven't tried it on Vista yet.

EDIT: No, it does not work on Vista (or any other 64-bit OS). 07/07/2010.
