I highly recommend this book to anyone exploring the transition process. JoAnn has a lot of very practical advice on everything from Self Discovery, Therapy, Financing transition, Electrolysis, Legal issues, Finding a job, Socializing in your new gender, and telling family and friends. She tells it like it is, and doesn't pull any punches. She's taken her own practical experience and the experience of others, and turned it into a very practical book for any TS, MTF or FTM.

This book is wonderful. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in finding out more about transsexualism. This book comes in two volumes and both of them are excellent.

A very useful book for both f2M and m2F TSs. Offers some insites into the complications and the joys of this process. I HIGHLY recommend getting both this and the second volume in the set.
