5.0 out of 5 stars as good as positive energy
this album is well worth your money if you're into good euro-progressive house and trance by not-well known artists. Most "trance" compilations have songs that are frequently played on stations and you hear all the time. I guess that's fine if you want to get that album just for that song, but if you're like me and you want to just make a blind pick at an...

3.0 out of 5 stars The world's Greatest club on disc!
I bought this album/compilation the day after it was released. If you've ever been to Webster Hall, read no further, it's the same music that you heard inside the club. For those of you who have never been inside, let me show you. Tranzworld is a flavorful blend of today's house and electronic music scene, with mixes and transitions you'll miss if you're not...

this album is well worth your money if you're into good euro-progressive house and trance by not-well known artists. Most "trance" compilations have songs that are frequently played on stations and you hear all the time. I guess that's fine if you want to get that album just for that song, but if you're like me and you want to just make a blind pick at an album that looks promising....then get this and might i suggest tranzworld 2 & 3. all of them have continous mixing and they are all in the trance spirit...building up and up and then a cascade of sound. in conclusion.....highly, highly recommended. if you've heard of or own positive energy, then this is the same thing. Nice European like progressive house.....quit reading this and download a song..you'll know what i mean

An interesting mix. I certainly have a lot of respect for the DJs and hope to go to Webster Hall one day. It's good to know that one can actually buy good club music in this country.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, February 14, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Tranzworld (Audio CD)
Just to mention this...The songs on this CD are not 160+ BPM as one of my fellow reviewers pointed out... 160BPM is extremely fast and falls under the category of underground-industrial-techno.

TranzWorld however, is a mixture of 120-140BPM songs of euro-techno, euro-trance, eurogressive and euro-house tracks... What makes this compilation great is the origin of the tracks...

If you've noticed, all the tracks are European... compared to the U.S. freestyle/club junk, of course it is amazing...my point is, even though Webster Hall has managed to get some great stuff on the disc, some tracks just don't cut it as the best from Europe.

Probably the best song on this compilation is YOU AND I by GRIFFEN, which is track #1.

5.0 out of 5 stars BRING NYC's GRANDEST CLUB HOME, April 15, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Tranzworld (Audio CD)
ON FRIDAY OR SATURDAY NIGHTS WHEN I GO TO WEBSTER HALL I CAN BE GUARANTEED THAT THE MUSIC WILL BE CUTTING EDGE AND PUT ME IN A TRANCE FOR THE EVENING.THIS IS ALL CAPTURED ON THE TRANZWORLD ALBUM.TOTAL EURO STYLE FRONT TO BACK.THE SELECTION IS GOOD BUT DON'T EXPECT A DEVINE INTERVENTION,THERE ARE BETTER ARTISTS OUT THERE THAT DIDN'T MAKE THE DISK,AND THE TEMPO MAY BE TOO FAST FOR SOME. THE ALBUM IS ONLY A CHIP OFF OF THE WEBSTER HALL EXPIERIENCE.

This CD is a amazing trance CD. All the songs are really good. Its not too underground and does not overuse 303's. A must have to add to your arsenal of techno.

I bought this album/compilation the day after it was released. If you've ever been to Webster Hall, read no further, it's the same music that you heard inside the club. For those of you who have never been inside, let me show you. Tranzworld is a flavorful blend of today's house and electronic music scene, with mixes and transitions you'll miss if you're not listening hard enough. Would've given it 4 stars, except that some tracks are blended to the point that they sound like the same song. Beware, if you can't handle 160+ BPM, this is not the album for you. Instead you might want to try a Dance Mix USA or something along that line. To those who have experienced the Hall in all of it's glory, this cd is a must.
