Product Description

From the Manufacturer

Warp is a stealth-action puzzler where gamers play as Zero, a loveable yet lethal, little orange alien with a big score to settle. Abducted by a villainous General from his home world and taken to an underwater research facility, Zero must plan his ultimate escape by relying on his arsenal of special abilities – warp, frag, echo, swap, and launch.

Evade or Eliminate - Take revenge and kill every human in the facility, or hide and plan your way through each level for a no-kills stealth approach.

Unreal 3 Sci-Fi Madness—Cutting-edge visuals and a strategic top-down perspective that lets you visualize your attack and plan your escape from the sprawling undersea base.

  • Wreak Havoc with Alien Powers – Make your way through puzzle-based levels using your powerful abilities and upgrade them along the way.
  • Warp - Teleport instantly through walls, over obstacles, and into objects.
  • Frag - Warp into objects or humans and destroy them from the inside.
  • Echo – Create a decoy of yourself to distract enemies
  • Swap – Place your Echo over an object to instantly switch places with it
  • Launch – Warp into objects and fire them away from you at high speeds
  • Evade or Eliminate - Take revenge and kill every human in the facility, or hide and plan your way through each level for a no-kills stealth approach.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quirky and Fun June 15, 2012

The idea is interesting, and the alien protagonist is very cute. This is a puzzle/platformer worth playing days on end. The graphics are good, the plot is sound/and very cute, the characters are interesting, and most importantly Zero is the most adorable alien ever!! ^_^

Despite having been a hardcore computer gamer during what one might want to call the "medieval times" of computer gaming (1990s to 2000s -- not the dark ages anymore, but also not quite 21st century), I haven't touched a game in almost 10 years. Now that my PhD dissertation is coming to an end, the work load demands some relaxing and rather mindless activity, so I decided to see how games developed since I played my last one.

This one is really neat, showing a very nice concept (to play the alien which is being experimented on, and not the stereotypical human abductee). The splatter effect adds a lot to the fun, and the puzzles are mostly not based on exact timing, which is a big plus, too.

All in all, considering the price, a well-made game with a reasonably low frustration level and a kind of weird addiction through the aliens mixture of cuteness and sanguinary vengence.

2.0 out of 5 stars Clunky and Frustrating, otherwise OK. April 29, 2012

I purchased Warp under the assumption that it would be a fun puzzle/adventure game. I guess it is a puzzle/adventure game, but the controls seem a bit half-baked and clunky (like they were made for a gamepad with thumbsticks) Also, no mouse usage in menus is annoying. The warp reticule is also frustrating. I can't tell you the number of times I died because it warped me into the wall when the reticule didn't chance targets quickly enough.

That being said, it is probably worth it if you get it on sale.

1.0 out of 5 stars I Didn' t Think I would, but I found it ! July 29, 2013

I didn' t think I would, but I found it ... ! ... The 1 game that is WORSE than Dead Crap .. I mean Crap Space ... oh, Dead Space!!! They should not have called this game Warp, they should have called it CRAP!. You will die in practically EVERY room you enter. There is NO room for error / slack at all. The "geniuses" who developed this game were "nice" enough to create a character with NO HEALTH upgrades whatsoever!!! But naturally the soldiers and hazards get MORE dangerous as you progress through this farce of a game. Of course it has good graphics ... that's how those rip off artists suck you in. The story ( which is ripped from Destroy All Humans!, Area 51 [to name a couple] and watered down ) is incredibly weak. Stay away from this game at all costs!!
