4.0 out of 5 stars Great read aloud
I am a teacher, and I used this book as a read aloud for my 4th grade class. This was the first book that EVERYONE was into. They would beg me to read a page or two whenever we had a free minute. It was so fun to see how excited they were to listen to this book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery.

3.0 out of 5 stars Trapped in Death Cave
I enjoyed reading Trapped in Death Cave. It is a mystery book and I like mysteries. Gary, Brian and Mrs. Becker get trapped in the cave by Odie Wilson, who wants the gold hidden there all to himself. Everyone thinks Mrs. Becker is a witch but when she ends up saving the lives of two boys they have a party for her. Then they close off the cave so no one will go back...

5.0 out of 5 stars A Childhood Favorite!, June 3, 2004

Although I am biased about the author, because he was the Prinbcipal of my Elementary School, I have to say this was one of my favorite stories when I was a little girl!

It is very engaging, exciting and mysterious... just scarey enough to keep young boys (& girls) interest, without being too much. Now that I work at a small private school, I am ordering several copies for my 3rd and 4th graders classroom libraries.

I can't wait to have a group discussion with these kids after they read the book!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is an exciting book!, September 11, 1998

The book is divided up into several exciting chapters. Every two chapters there is a mini cliff hanger that keeps your interest. The students also enjoy the decriptive language that that helps even the poorest reader get a picture in their mind as to what it going on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the Hardy Boys!!!!, October 9, 2006
This review is from: Trapped in Death Cave (Hardcover)
Trapped In Death Cave is in my opinion the best book ever written for kids at the age 10 years and up level!!! and when I say up is because I first bought this book back in 1987 when i bought it at the book fair. I enjoyed the book so much that i make sure I have at least 2 or 3 on havd to let other kids read. I still read it at least once a year and I'm 33 years old. What can I say, the book is a keeper. Now my kids have enjoyed the thrill and edge of your seat that a kids book should have!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Trapped in Death Cave, August 24, 2011
This review is from: Trapped in Death Cave (Paperback)
I read this book to my fourth grade classes at the beginning of every school year. They moan when I have to stop for the day. Many of them even come to school just so they can find out what's happening with Gary and Brian. This story is a great motivational tool for boys and girls alike.
