Unbelievable!! Where do these bands come from !!!,

About a week ago i picked up this cd and boy was I surprised. I heard "Headstrong" their first single on the radio a lot and I liked their style so when I listened to the rest of the songs I was stunned at how good these guys are. "Headstong" is not even the best song on the cd. This is another one of those rare cds that you can just let it play through and not have to skip a single song cause they all rock! The two hardest songs on the cd are "Headstrong" and "Still Frame" but most of the other songs are softer but still have a hard rock backbone to them. They have a much different more melodic sound than "Headstrong" and "Still Frame" but have awesome vocals and guitars. The best song by far has to be "Echo" but "Made of Glass" , "These Walls", and "Enigma" rank right up at the top with "Echo". If you like Breaking Benjamin, TRUST Co., or Mad at Gravity, they sound a lot like these guys but Trapt has their own special sound that doesn't even compare those other bands. It amazes me that so many of these great artists are so little known but better for you I guess cause you can buy their album cheap. I guarantee if you like rock you won't be disappointed in this album!!

One of best CDs of the year.,

Since I first heard "Headstrong" on the radio a month or so ago, I've been waiting very impatiently for the album to be realeased. However, once you've heard "Headstrong", you've heard only one side of Trapt. Unlike many bands, they are not one dimensional in their style. While Trapt has some excellent hard rock songs like "Still Frame" on the album, their true strength lies in their melodic sound found in all their songs, but most noticeably in "Echo", "These Walls", "Enigma", and "Made of Glass". Amazingly, they don't allow one style to dominate the album. Personally, I'm sick of bands whose songs all sound alike. This is most certainly not the case with Trapt. Every single song is different from the rest while being equally well done. Normally at the end of review I list my favorite songs, but I just can't pick out songs that I like more than the others. My only complaint about the album is about "When All is Said and Done". I had an earlier release of this song as an MP3 and the song is very different. While the CD version is good, it just doesn't sound as good as the MP3 I had. Apparently they changed the melody or something.

Trapt - One of the best CD debut releases,
By
This review is from: Trapt (Audio CD)
I first heard the song 'Headstrong' on my local rock station and immediately got interested in this band. A few days after this searching for their lyrics on the internet, I read through their website and lyrics and indeed liked what I read and saw. I wanted a further taste of Trapt. This is Trapt's debut album and they're in the process of working on their sophmore album at the present with a early 2006 release scheduled. This album self titled is one of the best album releases I have come across not only for the song 'Headstrong' which in my opinion isn't the strongest album but is a catchy tune and rockaholic fantasy. The songs that make the album into a solid release is three songs that have some important messages in their lyrics about occurances in our society in this day and age and they are 'Still Frame', 'Echo' and 'Enigma'. This CD comes with a enhanced CD-ROM version that is a knockout. All you need to do is submit your email address and you get into a live website with extra live appearances, and band photos and backstage video clips. The last song on this album is 9 mins long. The actual song goes for 3.5 mins and the rest is a beautiful guitar and synth riff that is break background music.
All in all this CD is not a one hit wonder but a testament to talent.

...i actaully discovered trapt by looking through the "listmania" feature on this site. im sure glad i did.i saw trapt on someones list and i thought they sounded familar to me.. so i dl'ed what they said was their favorite"Headstrong" ...and loved it. the next day i discovered that the song "Headstrong" was also featured on the PS2 game NHL 2003. coincidence??. i dont think so. ...and as if that wasnt enough i then found out that the cd came out in 2 days, so i bought it. i couldnt have been more pleased. its the best cd ive bought in addition to (onesidezero) and (blindside).. you'll be hearing from them soon on the radio. im sure of it. thanks for listening to what i had to say. if you like them. . check out some of my other lesser-known favorites.

This is byfar one of the best CD's I have Trapt is a asome new band if you don't believe me [try] "Headstrong" which is there single and you should also [try] "These Walls" which I think is the best song on the album.1. Headstrong(4:46) 5/5 this is a very good song heavy but good it will get you pumped. 2. Made of Glass(3:29) 5/5 is yet another great song on the album the melody is great. 3. Hollowman(5:03) 4/5 this is a very good song but it dosent hold up with "These Walls" 4. These Walls(4:05) 6/5 in my opinion this is the best song on the CD the allaround song is good as you can tell by the rating [you should download this song even if you don't buy the CD] 5. Still Frame(4:31) 5/5 this is a good song I don't think it is quite as good as "Headstrong" but it is stilla great song 6. Echo(4:11) 5/5 this is a slower song but they still did a good job with it, it lets you calm down 7. The Game(5:05) 4/5 not one of my faviorte songs but I still listen to it often, because it is still a very good song 8. When All Is Said and Done(4:16) 4/5 good song but it does not quite hold up to the 5/5's 9. Enigma(4:41) 4/5 this song is a little to slow for Trapt but it's still a good song 10. Stories(3:55) 5/5 this song is acuostic and its pretty slow but I like how they did it 11. Biginning(9:14) 4.75/5 this is a low 5 or a high 4 it depends on how you want to take it but it is a good song and is worthy of lisetning to[the song is not 9:14 long it close to 4:08 but after the 4:08 there is bass gituar for the rest of the time] ***Over all this is a very good CD if your friends say otherwise [try] "These Walls", and "Headstrong" see what you think, if you don't like them well then maybe Trapt is not for you**

Great Debut, So Where's Your Follow-up, Guys?,
By A. Estes (Maine) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Trapt (Audio CD)
Trapt are one of those groups that take criticism just for being themselves. No, they aren't exactly original. No, they aren't heavy (but oddly enough, they thank Slayer in the liner notes). Yes, they use a lot of hooks and riffs that sound recycled at times. But that's who Trapt are, and what they amount to on their self titled debut, is a pretty damn good band. If you hate modern rock in general, face it, this isn't gonna appeal to you. However, if you want some good, non-offensive, well-written music in the vein of Hoobastank or Linkin Park, Trapt are for you.
Frontman Chris Brown broods and vents about failed relationships and generic angst throughout the album's mere eleven tracks, with melody-infested, mature lyrics. While the band themselves aren't doing anything new, they are obviously competent. Like I said before, this is nothing you haven't heard before, but what makes this band truly stand out is Chris Brown's lyrics. If you've ever been through a tough break-up, or fallen out of love, you will find a lot of material on here to relate to, such as "Made Of Glass," "Echo" and "Stories." If you're familiar with the big single, "Headstrong," then likewise, "Still Frame" and "When All Is Said And Done" will appeal to you. One of the biggest, commercial, mistakes Trapt made was not releasing "These Walls" as a single. Not that they needed it, but I truly believe this one track to be the defining moment of the album. As good as some of these songs are, there are a few stumbles. Take "Hollowman" and "New Beginning" for example. Both songs go nowhere, really, and are hindered mainly by being too long for their own good. Still though, when all is said and done, there is an abundance of strong material here. Trapt aren't breaking the mold, but they do this sound justice and do it just as well, if not better, than most of the groups you hear on the radio. However, this album is three years old now, and the band still haven't finished a second album. We're all waiting. As good as this album is, and even though it hasn't gotten old, I think a lot of us are dying to hear what they can come up with next.

Trapt delivers a solid set with their self-titled CD. I bought the disc for Headstrong, with its awesome vocals by Chris Brown and the edgy guitar grind. After listening to the whole disc, Headstrong is still my favorite, but I was pleasantly surprised with the rest of CD! Brown continues his fine vocal delivery on all the tracks and the guitar will not disappoint. The best feature of this recording is the strength of the material - yes, it's GOOD! I especially liked Echo, Hollowman, Enigma and Stories. The one song on the disc I didn't care for was New Beginning, but I guess 10 out of 11 isn't bad. Also, I think they should have included pictures of the band in the liner notes. They could have done a better job with band information/promotion, as well. I'm not sure if this will hit platinum or more, but it should. Buy it and give it a spin! I think you'll be happy you did.

Well, when I first listened to this CD I was disappointed because I heard all these great things about Trapt and it wasn't what I expected so I forced myself to listen to it again and after I did that I LOVED it! Odd isn't it? Well anyways the best songs are The Game, Headstrong, Still Frame, Hollowman, and Echo. The others are really good also.

Here I thought that rock was starting to go down the trendy tubes of the vines, the hives, and the God-Awful strokes, but I was wrong. Lately there has been a resurgence of amazing rock, and helping spearhead that movement is a band called "Trapt". What these guys do with 3 musicians and a vocalist is simpley stunning. The guitar player is so amzingliy creative, the bass player totally plays off the guitar player, and the drummer is super soild. What impresses me about this band is how it can be so musically skilled, and be hard at the same time. His voice is so good its something you just want to learn and sing with. The lyrics are incredible as well. If you heard the song "Headstrong" on the radio, that is good, but man are their even BETTER tracks than that awomse one, try the song "Echo" and see if you believe me after that. Also check out the Cd by Chevelle entitled "wonder whats next" its also spearheading the new direction of rock.

This is one of the best cds that i own...i highly recommend it to anybody....Trapt sounds like a combination of Our Lady Peace and Trustcompany...they have a lot of talent and it shows in this cd....I first heard of them through a message board....i downloaded MP3s for "Headstrong" and "Still Frame" and i thought they were awesome...when i got the cd i found out that Trapt has a more melodic side to a lot of their other songs which is awesome...they really show it in "Stories," an accoustic song about a past relationship(i think so anyways) and "Enigma" a very deep and dramatic song with an awesome climax....they also have kickass guitar rifts that make the music even more exciting to listen to....i HIGHLY reccomend this CD to anybody because its excellent so if i were you i would definetly consider adding this cd to your collection....its definetly worth the buy
